Inventing and creating a children's carnival costume is a fascinating and creative process. There are needlewomen mothers among us who, like Vasilisa the Beautiful, can create a real exclusive masterpiece for their baby in one night. But such mothers are the exception rather than the rule. Most, however, fall into a state of slight confusion every time they begin to loom ahead. new year holidays. And after all, I want to please the baby with a bright carnival costume, help him at least for a short time transform into your favorite character, become a real hero. But there are not enough sewing skills, abilities, ideas, time...

Of course, you can buy a suit. But, often, it's too... standard. How many times did my children and I meet two or three identical chanterelle sisters, twin bunnies and other identical forest lads on festive trees. There is also tailoring of suits to order, but ... you yourself know how much it costs. Striving for the ideal, we often forget that the perfect pattern, high-quality fabric, even stitching, the price of a suit - all this is interesting and important only to you and me. Well, sometimes other people pay attention to it. For a baby, it means absolutely nothing! A child is much more important than YOUR attention and care, YOUR creativity, YOUR joint time with him, spent on creating a New Year's outfit. So, dear mothers, let's not give up on the eve of the holiday, but let's try together with the baby to build a New Year's costume with our own hands, which does not require the skills of a super dressmaker. And we will spend on this a minimum of time and money.

Christmas costume: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Thumbelina

To create this or that image, it is not at all necessary to have an exact portrait resemblance to the character. Just one stroke is enough, but bright and characteristic. basis for New Year's costume you can almost always find it in the baby’s wardrobe or among the things of mom, dad, grandmother, older brother or sister. Having added suitable clothes with makeup (use special face paints or mom's cosmetics), a wig, cardboard ears, horns, patches, all kinds of accessories, we get a lot of different characters.

Once upon a time, the theater studio, where the eldest daughter studied, staged a play about Winnie the Pooh. The children had no tails, no ears, no mustaches, but any spectator at a glance could determine with absolute accuracy what kind of character was in front of him. The images were so accurately conveyed with the help of only clothes. Winnie the Pooh is a chubby little fellow in a brown jumpsuit, Piglet is a baby in bright shorts and a vest with protruding pigtails, Rabbit is a prim smart guy dressed as an English gentleman. And who is this bully in a white shirt, black vest and hat, with cut off gloves on his fingers? Of course, the bouncy and cocky Tiger!

Coming up with the future image with the baby, move away from the traditional "snowflakes", "princesses" and "gnomes". If a girl wants to certainly be a beauty in elegant dress, then let it be, for example, Thumbelina or some disney princess, or bee, butterfly, flower. The main thing is that the character is interesting and understandable to the baby. It will also be great if you and your child figure out how to beat the created image, so to speak, “protect” your carnival costume. So what can you think of?

There are miracles...

Many ideas for carnival costumes can be inspired by Pushkin's fairy tales. For example, amazing fantastic creatures live in the magical and fabulous Pushkin's Lukomorye: the Scientist Cat and the Mermaid. And any little princess will surely want to turn into a beautiful Swan Princess if you read “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” with her.

New Year's Costume of the Scientist Cat

So, first we turn the boy into a Scientific Cat. It is hard to imagine that such a very smart cat will be white or red. Of course, it must be pitch black. Let's pick up the right clothes for my son: black trousers and a black turtleneck sweater. We put on old black gloves with cut off fingertips on our hands. Cat ears are easy to make. Cut and glue 2 triangles each from black velvet paper or cardboard. Before gluing, put a dark elastic band on the baby's head, measure the desired length, fasten the ends and mark on the elastic band the places where the cat ears should stick out at the top of the head. Then attach the cardboard ears at the indicated points so that the elastic passes between the two triangles at the base, and glue them together. Our cat is almost ready. The main accessory is missing - the chain.

Weave a chain from foil rings. The cat can handle it too. Cut the food foil into strips, fold them several times lengthwise so that the foil becomes denser. Now fold each strip into a ring, thread one into the other. Glue the ends. Make more of these links to make the chain long. Now we put a shiny chain around the cat's neck, complement the image with a black mustache drawn with my mother's cosmetic pencil. For greater learning, the cat can carry a large book under his arm and will certainly know a couple of songs and fairy tales to entertain guests.

Christmas costume of the Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid will look good in her mother's any very long dress. We embroider the dress with shaggy green tinsel so that it hangs in ribbons from the waist to the ground. You can add plastic algae (they are sold at any pet store). The main decoration of the little mermaid will be a crown of water lilies. Let's make water lilies out of paper. To do this, first make three cardboard flower templates. Draw three circles of different diameters (7, 8 and 9 cm) on cardboard, draw a lily flower with petals inside the circle, cut it out. Now we trace the templates on white paper. There will be three water lilies in our wreath, which means that we need nine flower blanks of three diameters. Using scissors, fold the paper petals inward (attach the blade of the scissors to the base of the petal on the inside of the flower and quickly slide it to the edge, twisting the paper). We collect “twisted” flowers in threes, gluing the smaller ones inside the larger ones. Add yellow stamens from colored paper. We cut out a cardboard hoop according to the size of the baby’s head (instead of a cardboard rim, you can use a wide hair band (such as for aerobics). In order to keep it better, we make the hoop a little smaller than necessary, and insert a piece of elastic from behind (in those places where the elastic is attached, glue the fabric squares from the inside so that the mask does not immediately tear.) We decorate the hoop with paper water lilies (one in the middle, above the forehead, the other two on the sides). and the image is ready!

New Year's costume of the Swan Princess

If your daughter has a braid, or at least a pigtail, she will be able to transform into the Swan Princess. Remember: “The moon shines under the scythe, and the star burns in the forehead”? This should be the highlight of the outfit, a small detail, thanks to which everyone will immediately understand what kind of character is in front of him. For the base of the costume, you will need a long white dress, preferably to the toe and with wide sleeves. Can be on hastily sew a long hoodie from an old white sheet. We embroider the outfit with crescents and stars cut out of foil. We glue the cardboard hoop, in front we attach a large cardboard star pasted over with silver foil to it. The same month will be placed behind. It remains only for the little princess to put on her headdress correctly so that the moon is under the scythe, and learn to move beautifully and smoothly, waving her arms like wings.

New Year's costume for a boy: a pirate

All sorts of characters like pirates, Indians, musketeers have always been the favorites of little adventurers. So, let's create images of brave warriors. Let's start with the pirate. Everything is simple here. We put trousers and a vest on our son, gird it all with a wide bright scarf - a sash. We tie the head with a black bandana. Do not forget to tie one eye with a wide black ribbon and draw a dashing twisted mustache and goatee. Draw a skull with crossbones on the entire sheet of black cardboard, cut it out, thread the rope and hoist it around the little pirate's neck. To complete the look, cut out a large cardboard hoop earring, wrap it in foil and attach to the clip. Clip-on earrings, if you search well, will almost certainly be found in every home. We hook a clip on one ear, put a cardboard dagger in our belt, pick up pistols - and here we have a real pirate.

New Year's costume for a boy: Indian

In an Indian costume, the main accessory will be a headdress with feathers. Cut out a wide strip of cardboard and make a headband out of it according to the size of the baby's head. Insert a piece of elastic at the back so that the future headdress is easier to put on and better held. Of course, we need feathers. If there are no goose, pigeons are quite suitable. They can always be in large numbers find on the street. Wash and dry the collected feathers. If desired, they can also be painted in bright colours. Glue the feathers on the cardboard rim from the inside so that they stick up evenly. We decorate the cardboard with “baubles” made of beads and stripes faux fur.. Sew the beads directly to the ribbon. Look for an Indian outfit among children's clothes: brown wide pants, moccasins, shirt "for release". To the trousers from the knee and to the sleeves of the shirt, you can sew with light stitches a strip of dense fabric, cut into fringes. The costume will become unusually picturesque if you add a fox tail or a fur collar from an old grandmother's coat to it. Complete the look with beads around the neck and a homemade bow with arrows. Entrust the manufacture of onions to dad. A bow is easy to make from a thick willow rod, bent in an arc, and a bowstring line tied to its ends. Do not forget about arrows (carved sticks with feathers at the ends) and a quiver (cloth or paper, hanging on the shoulder of a little Indian). Don't forget the "war paint" and teach your little one the Native American war cry.

Boy costume: musketeer

If your kid is already familiar with the adventures of Dartagnan and his comrades, he will surely like the brave musketeer costume. As a basis, black trousers and a white shirt are suitable (ideally, a sister's blouse with an openwork collar). But we will have to sew a raincoat, but I want to reassure you, this is not at all difficult. You will need a rectangle of blue fabric of such a size that, folded in half, it reaches from the baby's shoulders to the middle of the thigh. The edge of the fabric needs to be sheathed so that it does not fray. We attach the future raincoat to the baby and outline the place for the neckline. We cut a hole large enough for the head of our musketeer to pass through. Sew the neckline too. The coat is almost ready. It remains only to sew a white musketeer's cross made of fabric on it in front and behind or glue a paper one. As a hat, any wide-brimmed one, decorated with a feather or “shaggy” tinsel, will do. And, although the word "musketeer" itself came from the name of small arms - a musket, we still associate it not with a gun, but with a sword. The sword will be replaced by a long, even stick with a cardboard hilt wrapped in foil. It remains to gird the little musketeer with a suitable belt so that he can stick his sword there. But only until someone needs his protection.

Visiting a fairy tale: a New Year's costume for a girl

All kinds of children's fairy tales, cartoons and films are an almost inexhaustible material for creating carnival costumes. If a little mischievous girl categorically does not want to change into a kind Little Red Riding Hood or meek Gerda, she may like the Little Robber costume. For him, we will certainly need an outfit made of skins. Fit pieces of faux fur, you can even different colors. Of these, you can whip up a vest and a skirt, and the rougher the work, the better. And you can put a skirt on the baby, a plain sweater and embroider clothes with pieces of fur.

We also decorate shoes with fur, let our hair down, make a “creative mess” on our heads, add a bandage to our hair all from the same fur, put a cardboard knife wrapped in foil into our belt (or hang it around our neck), take pistols in our hands - and here we are. us a real Little Robber.

New Year's costume for a girl: Pippi Longstocking

If your baby is already familiar with the mischievous Pippi Longstocking from A. Lindgren's fairy tale, invite her to appear on the New Year tree in the image of this resilient little adventurer. We put on a short sarafan (you can even one from which the baby has already grown). We sew several “patches” of a different color to the sarafan with light stitches. Remember how in the book: "It (the dress) was supposed to be blue, but the blue fabric was not enough, and Pippi had to sew in here and there a few scraps of red." Mandatory touch - stockings of different colors. If stockings could not be found, long multi-colored knee-highs will do. We will borrow shoes for a while from the daughter of a friend who is three or four years older than your baby. And do not forget about tight pigtails sticking out in different directions. For more "sticking out" we insert a piece of flexible wire into them. We draw bright freckles on the nose and cheeks. Ready! You can add to the image a chest with "gold" coins, a toy monkey and demonstrate the crown number - raising a horse (of course, also a toy).

New Year's costume Carlson

Or maybe your kid likes another Lindgren hero - the resilient inventor Carlson? It is very easy to turn a boy into him. We put on a plaid shirt, shorts with suspenders. On the back we catch a cardboard propeller. And if you manage to persuade dad to spend a little time and participate in the creation of a New Year's costume, he will surely be able to assemble a simple device on batteries (or accumulators) in such a way that when a button on the baby's stomach is pressed, a propeller starts spinning from behind (we hide all the wires under clothes). A computer fan is suitable as a propeller. It is "powered" by 12 watts and can be purchased at any computer store. This will surely create a real sensation at the matinee. The kid will proudly demonstrate the device to his friends. To complete the look, we tousle the boy's hair or put on a red wig.

New Year's costume of a bunny, chanterelles, butterflies, bees...

All kinds of representatives of the fauna can also become wonderful prototypes for a children's New Year's costume. Little bunnies, fluffy squirrels, soft kittens, prickly hedgehogs, red foxes, gray wolves - all these cute costumes suit our kids so much. Creating such an image is not at all difficult: clothes suitable color, cardboard or cloth ears, tails, appropriate makeup. You can buy a ready-made mask or a hat with the ears of the corresponding animal, and build everything else from improvised means. It would be nice for a bunny to find a real rabbit tail. The kid will be delighted.

The tail of the chanterelle is easy to sew from two oval pieces of orange fabric or fur, stuffing it with padding polyester.

On the back of a hedgehog dressed in shorts and a vest, you can attach a piece of gray fur, and on top - plastic apples, multi-colored paper leaves.

Butterfly or bee wings are easy to make by fitting any thin cloth(for example, nylon or tulle) a wire frame, curved in the form of wings. Decorate the wings paper flowers, sew two straps to them, like a backpack, or attach them to clothes. Dress the baby in a bright sarafan or dress (it can also be embroidered with flowers), put a hoop with a cardboard mustache on your head - that's a beautiful butterfly for you. And be sure to learn with the baby poems or songs that fit his image.

For example, if you have two kids, dress them up as a fox and a wolf. Then they will be able to role-play S. Marshak’s wonderful poem “A gray wolf met a red fox in a deep forest ...” A rhyme by A. Barto “It was in January” about how bunnies deceived a wolf is suitable for a bunny. And the tiniest hares will be able to dance to the mother's song "Hare, dance ...".

It looks very impressive and quickly made a carnival costume bat. Both boys and girls can wear it. The basis of the costume is black trousers (leggings for girls), a black turtleneck sweater, black socks and shoes on the legs, black gloves. We make pointed ears from black cardboard on the head, put on a black half mask on the face. It is very easy to make it. First, cut out a mask pattern from paper, attach it to the baby's face and check that it fits well and the eye slits are in the right place. If necessary, trim it a little more (you need to do this by folding the pattern in half so that both halves are symmetrical). If everything is in order, circle the pattern on black velvet paper, cut it out, attach an elastic band.

Now let's get down to the most important thing - the wings. We will make them from ... a garbage bag. Of course, black, big and dense. Ask the baby to spread his arms to the sides and attach the bag with the bottom to the middle of the back of the crumbs between the shoulder blades, and stretch the side side along the arm. If the bag is much longer than the baby's hand, carefully cut off the excess so that the top of the bag ends 10 centimeters further than the wrist. Lay the bag out on the floor or on a table, cut the sides, but do not open it. We draw a wing pattern on the bag: we connect the lower edge of the “bottom” with the opposite edge of the “top” (diagonally) in a smooth semicircle. All the same, without unfolding the package, we cut the oilcloth along this line. Then we expand and see what we got. Two wings fastened together should come out, wide in the center and tapering towards the ends. On the very edges of the wings we sew on an elastic band. In them, the baby will stick his wrists. We attach the center of the wing to the back of the “mouse” in the collar area with a safety pin. With a few more pins, we pin the wings to the clothes in the area of the shoulders and arms. A festive touch - a strip of colored rain on clothes. And now the unique bat is ready to spread its wings.

Any carnival costume should be created together with the baby. Let him make his own contribution to the work: cut something, color it, glue it. Such a costume will be even more valuable for its young owner.

And finally, one piece of advice. carnival costume- this is a way of self-affirmation for the baby, the opportunity to become different for a while. So, approach the choice of a suit for your son or daughter with all responsibility. If your little one is shy and insecure, don't dress him up in a funny costume. The laughter of friends, even if it is kind, can be a difficult test for the crumbs. Let him better reincarnate as a hero and look perfect. For a cheerful and liberated kid, choose the appropriate image: mischievous and funny. Do not be afraid to fantasize, invent, create. And then the New Year holidays will certainly become an unusual and memorable event for your baby!

Thematic children's costumes for the New Year for girls can be in the form of a snow queen, a snowflake, a snowman, a fairy, the same Christmas tree, a snow maiden. One skirt - many outfits Based on just one skirt, you can create a lot of completely different carnival costumes. But the skirt for this is not simple, but magnificent, and the more magnificent it is, the more beautiful the outfit will become. It’s not so difficult to make outfits for a holiday with the help of such a thing. First, think over the image, choose one or more shades of tulle that matches the color and make a skirt. Upstairs, you can wear a T-shirt, t-shirt, gymnastic leotard or even a blouse embroidered with sequins or other decor. Now the image needs to be supplemented with suitable accessories - a fairy wand, a crown, wings, ears.

Technique for making a tulle skirt To create such a skirt, you first of all need about three meters of tulle for a little girl (you can also use nylon fabric), it is advisable to take tulle medium hardness it does not prick as much as hard and keeps its shape better than soft. You also need an elastic band, medium width and scissors. Manufacturing steps: Cut tulle into strips 10 to 20 centimeters wide. The length of the strips should be twice as long as the planned length of the skirt, plus 5 centimeters. You will need such strips from 40 to 60. The number of stripes can be different, but remember, the more there are, the more magnificent the product will come out. Cut off a piece from the elastic equal to the circumference of the girl’s waist minus 4 cm. Sew the edges of the elastic well, they can also be tied in a knot, but the first option is preferable. the back of a chair, or another object of suitable volume. Place one edge of the tulle strip under the elastic, then stretch it so that the middle is above the upper edge of the elastic

Pull the ribbon through the resulting loops, and then tie it with a bow. Scissors need to align the hem. There is another way to tie knots: Fold the strip in half. Stretch the folded end of the strip under the elastic.

Pass the free ends of the strip into the resulting loop. Tighten the knot.

And now let's look at what options for outfits can be made based on such a skirt. Snowman costume

The perfect solution for a carnival costume is a snowman. It is very easy to make such a New Year's costume for a girl with your own hands. First, make a white skirt according to one of the methods described above. Buy a hat-shaped hairpin in the store and pick up any red scarf. Santa costume Manufacturing steps: Make red tulle skirts, as described above, only make it longer. A black gymnastic leotard or a regular top is perfect for the top. Wings can be made from wire and red or black nylon tights. First you need to make a wire frame in the form of a figure eight. You can also make two separate circles or ovals, and then fasten them together (be sure to wrap the bonding point with a band-aid, electrical tape or cloth so that the child does not get hurt on the sharp edges of the wire). Tighten each part of the wing kapron tights, according to the same principle as in the photo. Then glue or sew black circles on the wings.

The joint in the middle of the wings can be hidden with a piece of fabric, appliqué or rain. Attach the wings directly to the costume or sew thin elastic bands to each part of the wing, then the girl will be able to take them off and on without any problems, moreover, such wings will hold on more securely than those fixed on the costume .Now it remains only to choose a suitable headband with horns, and the costume for the girl is ready.Cat costume

Best of all, in order to show off elegant luxury and an original New Year's outfit, fluffy skirt, which is easy to make. From the material you need tulle in several colorful colors. To secure the skirt at the waist, you can use both an elastic band and an elastic band. Step-by-step instruction creations:

 1. We fix the elastic (tape) around the waist of the girl.
 2. We take one strip of tulle and throw it through an elastic band (ribbon).
 3. We collect the fabric for convenience and make two consecutive knots - one to create the volume of the skirt itself, the second - to fix the first.
 4. We straighten the free part of the material and straighten it as widely as possible.
 5. By the same principle, we sequentially tie the tulle across the entire width of the elastic (ribbon) with alternation different shades(you can make smoothly flowing tones around the circle, depending on the selected character).
 6. We fix satin ribbon around the circumference of the future tutu skirt and make a bow in front (you can also do it on the side, if desired).
 7. We cut strips of tulle at the hem of equal length and carefully straighten them to give extra splendor.

Snow White costume

Do-it-yourself costume for the New Year for a girl can also be sewn in the cut of Belosezhka (see photos and patterns below). A feature of the tutu skirt is its versatility. Depending on the combination of colors and top, you can create absolutely any image - from squirrels, foxes or bunnies to Disney characters.

The length of the product does not have to be short, although it is this property that provides its volume. But if you want to create a costume, for example, for Snow White, then a checkerboard top to the waist with cross-tightened silk ribbons can serve as the upper part, they also create straps on which it will hold on.

To complement the image, it is worth making a large bow as a hair ornament, preferably red. For greater usefulness, the top can be decorated with real and artificial roses or peonies.

In the final form, Snow White's New Year's costume using a tutu skirt, made by hand, is shown in the photo.

Snowflake Costume

One of the most popular do-it-yourself New Year's costumes for a girl using step-by-step photos is the Snowflake, a very airy and aesthetic costume, the cost of creating which will be minimal if you want to sew something economical that your girl will shine in.

This costume is suitable for girls from 2 to 12 years old!

In order to make such an image, you can use several combinations of materials: organza, tulle or even satin is best for a skirt (it all depends on what your outfit should end up looking like), as a material for a bodice it is quite suitable satin, cambric or elementary cotton.

You need to start with a pattern, an example of which is shown in the photo.

This dress for the new year is suitable for girls 2-5 years old. The sequence of actions for its manufacture:

 • to give more splendor, it is worth additionally sewing a petticoat following the example of the skirt itself (but this element is not necessary). You may not need extra volume if the skirt should be straight or made according to the example above;
 • on two separate sheets of paper we cut out patterns for the front and back of the future bodice;
 • we fold the fabric chosen for the upper part of the suit in half, after which we put the cut out parts on it and fasten it tightly with pins;

 • we circle the patterns with chalk or pencil around the perimeter, the strokes should be thin in case it is necessary to correct some parts, but clear enough so that they seem distinguishable during further work;
 • we cut out the resulting drawings not exactly along the contour, but in a centimeter along it;

 • we notice the key places of the future dress and turn it over to the back;
 • we make appropriate marks along the contour and transfer the seams and tucks from the front;

 • continuing our costume for a girl for the new year, which is suitable from 2 to 12 years old, we pin stitches to each other on the back of the product with pins;

 • we make manually darts in the fasteners exactly along the drawn lines, since in these places the bodice will need to be stitched;
 • We go through the needle of a sewing machine;

 • we fold the received parts in the direction towards each other on a flat surface;

 • we connect the cutouts on the shoulders with pins;
 • we sweep with a thread and similarly sew on a typewriter;
 • we hide the cut parts with the help of an overlock, we do the same with the neck;

 • smooth the dorsal seam in different directions;
 • step by step photos show that the bodice is ready. After that, we proceed to the design of the upper part of the outfit with sleeves. We make a pattern and fit it snugly to the fabric with pins or needles;

 • cut out the prepared parts and put them together, fix;

 • using a stitch on a sewing machine, we make two parallel lines, we mark the center of the sleeve with a pin;

 • we tighten the sleeves to the assembly state and measure them with the bodice, both parts should be the same;

 • we sweep the workpieces into the armholes on the bodice and sew them inside, we make an overlock;

 • we turn out the sewn sleeves and decorate the ends with lace or ruffles;

 • let's go through sewing machine along the unconnected edges of the bodice, we overcast the fabric sections;

 • the top of the girl's dress for the new year 2018 is finished! Using our step by step photos, patterns and video tutorials, you should not make a mistake in the process of making a New Year's costume. It remains to make a skirt that fits in style. To do this, we make a petticoat from a piece of tulle (about 30 cm wide), pulling one of its sides with stitched threads, then sew the free edges;

 • cut out a circle from newsprint, the diameter of which is identical to the diameter of the skirt. Bent in half, it is applied to the material, which is neatly folded into two layers;

 • by analogy with sewing a bodice, we transfer the outline of the pattern to the fabric, cut off the excess, sew a wider edge and process it with an overlock;

 • after that we decorate the hem of the skirt with lace;

 • we connect the main lower part with the petticoat and fasten it with pins;

 • we sweep and for stability we use a machine line, then we turn it out on front side. In a similar way, we connect the bodice with the skirt;

 • we sew openwork to the neck, and in place of the fastener on the back - a button;

 • for additional decor with foil stars, it is necessary to dot the lower part of the dress along the entire length;

 • in fixed places we attach sequins;

 • we do the same with the bodice;

 • to create a more complete image, we create a bezel. Along the elastic, the length of which corresponds to the girth of the head, we sew the openwork and decorate it.

Costume "Angel" for the New Year

Shining with purity and innocence, the image of a little angel is a great choice for a New Year's costume for a girl of 10-11 years old. Let's analyze its key part - the wings according to the stages of creation:

 1. The simplest thing that can be used for a solid base is metal hangers. With the help of pliers, we break off the hook and rewind the resulting protruding ends with electrical tape or ordinary tape, having previously connected them together.
 2. We apply glue to the skeleton, it is better to use the one that stands before further use to dry for a while.
 3. We cut the paper and attach the strips to the adhesive base, or you can use real feathers, simply scattering them on the metal body of future wings.
 4. We wait several hours until the material is firmly attached.
 5. Ropes or ribbons are usually used as parts that attach this part of the costume to the back, but the former will hold the improvised design much more firmly.

Step-by-step visual instructions are shown in the photo.

The wings will turn out to be more elegant if they are weaved with New Year's rain or sprayed with glitter varnish.

Now you need to make a halo. The main elements are metal wire and Christmas tree tinsel, in addition to this, you need a rim.

 1. We cut off two pieces from the wire and tightly wrap the ends around the rim.
 2. We fold the other piece in the shape of a circle and link it with the previous segments by folding on its opposite sides.
 3. We connect the tinsel with adhesive tape or glue with the resulting circle, as an option, we decorate it with artificial snow.

With this simple maneuver, we made another element of the angel costume, the principle of which is shown in the photo.

For the dress itself, you can use a white cape or nightgown, or light summer sundress.

fairy costume

The mysterious attire of a fairy or some kind of forest spirit has not gone unnoticed by children of all ages for many years. How to make a do-it-yourself fairy costume for girls 11-12 years old for the New Year 2018? It is much easier to bring this to life with the use of patterns.

Let's see how it looks.

 1. We measure the parameters of the girl, cut off the elastic band of the required length, stretch it on a device convenient for ourselves (accessories, for example).
 2. We create a skirt in the image and likeness of the one that we considered as an element of the image of Snow White with weaving ribbons and additional accessories.
 3. When connecting the two ends of the gum, we decorate the seam with a floral element.

The whole process is visualized in step-by-step photos.

After the skirt is sewn, let's make a wreath. For this:

 • We measure the girth of the child's head, use a cardboard strip for the base for the future product.
 • In size, cut out the same strip from felt, connect both elements.
 • We decorate the entire circumference of the wreath with artificial flowers, pearl beads or sequins with rhinestones.

Here is such a gentle and sensual detail of the image of a fairy in the end.

To finish the work on the costume, it is worth making wings, like a real lady of the forest!

 1. As the upper part, we have any T-shirt that matches in color. We decorate it so that it is combined with a wreath and matches the skirt.
 2. On a piece of paper we make a sketch of future wings (general silhouette).
 3. We copy the picture onto pink, orange or yellow cardboard.
 4. We cut out two symmetrical parts and fasten them with a glue gun (or any substance that replaces it).
 5. At a distance of 4-5 cm from the center, we make holes for the straps on which the wings will hold.
 6. We close the joint between the parts with a beautiful bud, add ribbons and rain to it.
 7. On the wings themselves we draw magical patterns. You can circle them with ordinary glue and sprinkle with sparkles.
 8. We take a Chinese sushi stick and color it as our heart desires, crown it with an elegant star with ribbons at the end.

Magic fairy wings are an essential attribute of this fabulous creature!

You can learn more about creating the image of a little sorceress from the video.

Cat costume for the new year 2018

Another image, bold, treacherous, fiery, bright - kitty costume.

 1. Draw a pattern on paper and cut it out.
 2. We glue the paper and the template cut out along its contours on the fabric.
 3. We wrap the hair hoop in felt according to size, we place the ears at different ends of the rim.
 4. The ears are stitched for a tighter fit.
 5. We make a sketch of the triangles in such a way that they fit freely inside each ear.
 6. We connect the cut blanks with the pink material and paste it inside.

So, the sequence of actions is more clearly displayed in the photo.

To make a tail, you will need to do the following:

 1. IN plastic bag put two toilet rolls.
 2. We wrap these details with a knitted golf or a woolen sock of the required length.
 3. Inside the golf course, it is worth placing a paper towel tube in a plastic bag.
 4. In conclusion, glue small pieces of fur to the tail.
 5. We make a tutu skirt, under which tight-fitting leggings will look nice, we take a classic black T-shirt as a top, add gloves if desired.

In more detail, the stages of creating a cat's tail are shown in the photo.

In the end, the image of the cat girl should look like this.

Suit of Snow Maiden

Of course, the most important female character on the winter holiday the Snow Maiden performs, the creation of the vestments of which is shown in detail in the video.

Among the numerous options, the most relevant and most popular costumes for girls from 2 to 12 years old for the New Year 2018 were presented. Magical ideas will certainly help your child shine like a little star that will win the hearts of everyone who sees him on a magical night. All other experiments with costumes and jewelry are limited only by your imagination!

Inventing and creating a children's carnival costume is a fascinating and creative process. There are needlewomen mothers among us who, like Vasilisa the Beautiful, can create a real exclusive masterpiece for their baby in one night. But such mothers are the exception rather than the rule. Most, however, fall into a state of slight confusion every time the New Year holidays begin to loom ahead. And after all, I want to please the baby with a bright carnival costume, help him at least for a short time transform into his favorite character, become a real hero.

The main thing is the idea!

To create this or that image, it is not at all necessary to have an exact portrait resemblance to the character. Just one stroke is enough, but bright and characteristic. The basis for a New Year's costume can almost always be found in the baby's wardrobe or among the things of mom, dad, grandmother, older brother or sister.

When inventing a future image with the baby, move away from the traditional “snowflakes”, “princesses” and “gnomes”. If a girl wants to be a beauty in an elegant dress, then let it be, for example, Thumbelina or some kind of Disney princess, or a bee , butterfly, flower. The main thing is that the character is interesting and understandable to the baby. And it will also be great if you and your child figure out how to beat the created image, so to speak, "protect" your carnival costume. So, what can you think of?

There are miracles...

Many ideas for carnival costumes can be inspired by Pushkin's fairy tales. For example, amazing fantastic creatures live in the magical and fabulous Pushkin's Lukomorye: the Scientist Cat and the Mermaid. And any little princess will surely want to turn into a beautiful Swan Princess if you read “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” with her. So, first we turn the boy into scientist cat.

Small Mermaid It will look good in my mother's any very long dress.

If your daughter has a braid or at least a pigtail, she will be able to transform into Swan Princess . You can whip up a long hoodie out of an old white sheet.

All hands on deck!

All sorts of characters like pirates, Indians, musketeers have always been the favorites of little adventurers. So, let's create images of brave warriors.

Let's start with pirate.

In costume Indian the main accessory will be a headdress with feathers. Cut out a wide strip of cardboard and make a headband out of it according to the size of the baby's head. Insert a piece of elastic at the back so that the future headdress is easier to put on and better held. Of course, we need feathers. If there are no goose, pigeons are quite suitable. You can always find them in large numbers on the street. Wash and dry the collected feathers. If desired, they can also be painted in bright colors. Glue the feathers on the cardboard rim from the inside so that they stick up evenly. We decorate the cardboard with “baubles” made of beads and strips of faux fur. Sew the beads directly to the ribbon. Look for an Indian outfit among children's clothes: brown wide trousers, moccasins, a “release” shirt.

If your little one is already familiar with the adventures of d¢A rattanyan and his comrades, he will surely like the costume of the brave musketeer.

Visiting a fairy tale

All kinds of children's fairy tales, cartoons and films are an almost inexhaustible material for creating carnival costumes. If the little mischievous girl categorically does not want to change into a kind Little Red Riding Hood or meek Gerda, she may like the costume Little Robber.

Or maybe your kid likes another Lindgren hero - a resilient inventor Carlson? It is very easy to turn a boy into him. We put on a plaid shirt, shorts with suspenders. On the back we catch a cardboard propeller. And if you manage to persuade dad to spend a little time and participate in the creation of a New Year's costume, he will surely be able to assemble a simple device on batteries (or accumulators) in such a way that when a button on the baby's stomach is pressed, a propeller starts spinning from behind (we hide all the wires under clothes). A computer fan is suitable as a propeller. It is "powered" by 12V and can be purchased at any computer store. This will surely create a real sensation at the matinee. The kid will proudly demonstrate the device to his friends. To complete the look, we tousle the boy's hair or put on a red wig.

funny little animals

All kinds of representatives of the fauna can also become wonderful prototypes for a children's New Year's costume. Little bunnies, fluffy squirrels, soft kittens, prickly hedgehogs, red foxes, gray wolves - all these cute costumes suit our kids so much. Creating such an image is not at all difficult: clothes of the right color, cardboard or cloth ears, tails, appropriate makeup. You can buy a ready-made mask or a hat with the ears of the corresponding animal, and build everything else from improvised means. For bunny It would be nice to find a real rabbit tail. The kid will be delighted. Tail chanterelles easy to sew from two oval pieces of orange fabric or fur, stuffing it with padding polyester. On the back dressed in shorts and a vest hedgehog you can attach a piece of gray fur, and on top - plastic apples, multi-colored paper leaves. Wings butterflies or bees easy to do by covering with any thin fabric (for example, nylon or tulle) a wire frame, curved in the form of wings. Decorate the wings with paper flowers, sew two straps to them, like a backpack, or attach them to clothes.

AND , of course, any carnival costume should be created together with the baby. Let him make his own contribution to the work: cut something, color it, glue it. Such a costume will be even more valuable for its young owner. And finally, one piece of advice. A carnival costume is a way of self-affirmation for a baby, an opportunity to become different for a while.
