  • - black marker
  • - stationery glue
  • - scissors
  • - pencil.

Step-by-step photo lesson:

Place a sheet of paper square shape in the form of a rhombus.

Then we bend upper part down in half. The corners should touch each other. Then it will be possible to fold.

We bend the right side to the left.

Open up and get a vertical fold going through the entire triangle in the middle.

We take our fingers by the bottom corner of the first layer of paper and bend it up to the horizontal line of the triangle.

Fold the side corners down.

Bend the side corners up, but at an angle. This will create the ears for the wolf mask.

We bend the upper corner down.

Turn over the mask.

Take the large bottom corner and bend it up as much as possible.

We retreat 1 cm from the lower horizontal line and bend the corner down.

To create a spout, bend the corner of the large lower triangle slightly upward.

Lateral small corners should be removed to the back of the mask.

Draw the silhouettes of the eyes with a simple pencil. They should be quite large so that your eyes can clearly see everything that happens from behind the mask.

Carefully cut out the gaps for the eyes.

The predatory gray wolf is the hero of many famous children's fairy tales and cartoons, so no one can do without this character New Year's party... If your child decides to try on this role, you will need an appropriate costume. A necessary addition to it is a mask. It is not difficult to make it, and the image of a fabulous villain will turn out to be complete and complete. If you are interested in how to make a volumetric gray wolf mask for children with your own hands, we suggest using our step-by-step master class.

We will need:

  • felt gray, light gray, white and black;
  • paper templates;
  • rubber;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • needle, thread.
  1. Below are the patterns of the details of the wolf mask, which we will make with our own hands. Cut them out carefully. Then transfer to felt of the appropriate color and cut along the outline.
  2. After all the details of the mask are cut out, take the two main ones and cut out the holes for the eyes.
  3. Before sewing the wolf mask, it is worth connecting the parts with glue so that they do not move. To do this, grease them on the back with glue, attach to each other as shown in the photo, and then run a well-heated iron over the mask.
  4. It's time to try on a mask so that the child is comfortable in it. If necessary, adjust the size of the eye holes with scissors. Make sure that the cuts are neat, without chipping. Now slightly increase the size of the outer mask layer in the eye area.
  5. Cut out two arched parts from black felt, carefully place them between the two layers of the mask, glue the parts. This will give the eyes more expressiveness, emphasizing the resemblance to a wolf's face.
  6. Our mask is almost ready, but how will it be held on the baby's face? It's that simple! Measure the circumference of your baby's head and then choose the appropriate size for the elastic. Place both ends of the elastic between the two layers of the mask and secure well. This can be done with glue or manually stitched.
  7. Now everything is ready to sew the mask. Of course, sew it on sewing machine easier, but if you do not have it, then you have to work with your hands. At the same time, make sure that the stitches are the same, because the seam goes along front side masks.

The original gray wolf mask for your child is ready!

Hastily

Is the New Year's performance, in which your child got the role of a formidable gray wolf, very soon, and there is no time to make the appropriate mask? And this problem can be solved in a matter of minutes! A great alternative is a paper wolf mask. First draw on thick paper gray silhouette of a wolf's face, outline the holes for the eyes. Be sure to try on the mask! Then draw the rest of the details (jaw with sharp fangs, ears, eyebrows and tongue). It is better to use sheets of cardboard of the appropriate color for this purpose. Carefully cut out all parts.

It remains to glue all the parts in the following order. First, glue the jaw to the bottom of the mask, on which the teeth are pre-glued. They should be slightly bent inward to give the mask volume. Then we glue the tongue, eyebrows, decorate the ears with strips of paper from the inside. The paper mask is ready! The only thing left is to glue strips of paper on both sides of it, with the help of which the mask will be held on the child's head. Try on the mask to adjust the length of the stripes. After that, cut off the excess and glue the ends of the strips.

As you can see, do it yourself a wolf mask for carnival costume not that difficult. With a little patience, your child will appreciate your efforts.

You can make other beautiful ones with your own hands.

Where there are Christmas trees, there are wolves.
Fedka comes from school last week and says that he needs 2 wolf masks by tomorrow in Chinese (they put on a fairy tale). It is necessary, then they will be.
For half a day he followed me with a "tail", pestered, reminded me, finally at 20.00, when I finished with my business, we got down to business with him. I looked at what was on the Internet on the wolf issue, the options were different, from funny to serious. Paper and cardboard were sifted out at once, too much fuss, and the material is not durable. We stopped at felt, since there were pieces of felt at home suitable color... Fedor insisted on his participation in the process. I quickly drew a pattern, relying on the option I liked on the Internet, and he circled and cut out all the small details, all that remained was to glue it all together with a cobweb and scribble.

A couple of hours of work (or even less), and two masks are ready! It turned out quickly and effectively, thick felt holds its shape perfectly. Our Chinese women (Chinese teachers are actually real Chinese women) were very impressed.

But most importantly, my boys liked the masks. The first couple of days we went to them almost without taking off, it is good that there are 2 masks, otherwise they would have fought, probably.

Gleb did not even wear a suit on the Christmas tree, but went in a mask, and so did I. I also picked up clothes myself, decided that the wolf should be all in jeans.

Now I think that I need to bribe more felt of the missing colors, just in case of an unexpected case;)

With all our hearts we wish you all the best for the coming year. And if you happen to meet wolves, then let them be like that, small, kind and cute)))

Festive matinees in kindergarten or primary school often take place in the form of theatrical performances. Every child participates in the holiday. For an interesting performance, you need appropriate costumes and head masks. You can buy them in specialized children's stores or make your own.

For the manufacture of masks use different materials... Most often - paper and cardboard. The picture is downloaded, enlarged on a computer screen, and then printed.

Sketches can be colored; it is enough for the kid to cut out the model. There are black and white or theatrical coloring masks. These need to be painted with pencils or paints at your discretion. Also used in the manufacture of leather, foam rubber, felt and other materials.

The shape of the masks is also different. Some do it on a wide rim. The image of an animal or fairy-tale character is glued to the rim, put on the head, while the child's face is not covered. Other sketches hide the face, cuts are made for the eyes. There are masks, respirators, gas masks (rubber elements are usually used for their manufacture) or on a stick.

For girls

When choosing sketches for girls, they prefer funny animal faces. For example, a bear or bunny with a pink bow, masks in the form of powerful fairies or beautiful princesses.

For boys

The holiday mask for a boy depends on the character and preferences of the child. Some kids like to portray not only kind animals (bear cub, cockerel, pig, hippopotamus), but also pirates, sorcerers, supermen, villains.

The muzzles of beasts

Costumes and masks for forest and domestic animals are a common option for a matinee. Some children prefer to dress up as cats, dogs, hares and other recognizable animals (bull, goat, wolf). Others want models of less common animals - raccoon, elk, platypus, or koala.

A universal option is the "Mask of the Year". She symbolizes the animal by eastern calendar... For 2019, the faces of a pig, a piglet, a wild boar are relevant. They can be made not only from paper, but also sewn from fabric. Patterns and sewing patterns make it easy to cope with the task.

It takes some effort to make a complete mask. The specificity lies in the anatomy of the bird's head. You need to prepare the head and beak template separately. The bird's beak is glued along the indicated lines. Its size and shape depends on the bird - in an owl it will be small and hooked, in a crow - long and sharp.

Drawings of masks for cutting

There are different patterns that don't always represent animals. Children love cool costumes, for which the mask of a plague doctor, a mad genius or a gypsy is suitable. Someone plays evil characters at matinees. In this case, masks with the muzzle of a devil, an old sorcerer or uncle Chernomor will be relevant.

The black and white masks are painted by the children themselves. The advantage of sketches is that the child is creative. His cow happens purple and the goat is pink flowered. After the matinee, the organizers arrange contests for the most interesting or original face mask.

When creating a New Year's image, masks of snowflakes, Santa Claus, Snow Maiden or Baba Yaga are suitable. If the child does not want to put on a full-fledged mask, then the ears of a hare, chanterelle or a bear are suitable for him.

Emotion masks will convey a happy or sad mood. They are made in the form of a sun or a popular emoticon.

The facial expressions of the mask are of great importance. Even the most common characters convey a palette of moods. They can be sad and funny, kind and evil, surprised and indifferent. This is achieved by drawing the eyebrows (raised, lowered, house), a smile on the face, the position of wrinkles, if we are talking about the mask of an old man or an old woman. Emotions are conveyed not only by the faces of people and animals, but also by inanimate images: patterns of masks of flowers (bells, roses, daisies), vegetables and fruits (apple, tomato, plum).
