Let's be honest, every year we give more or less the same thing. Therefore, I see no point in writing another “same as everyone else” guide to best gifts on New Year.

OZON

It’s still difficult to get advent calendars in supermarkets (I hope this is temporary), but you can order chocolate ones from Ozon, and with postcards, and with tasks (ideal for children), and with magnets, and from L’Occitane. 24 sweet and beautiful day for you and your loved ones.

LINDT

About chocolate calendars. They are the most traditional and the most loved. Of those that I looked at, I would like to highlight the Swiss Lindt. Any adult would be happy to receive such a calendar. Chocolate bears, mmm!

For fans of dark chocolate, there is a set with branded bars inside: chocolate with mint, with sea salt, 70% and 90% cocoa.

GODIVA

A calendar with sweet figures from one of the best chocolate brands ever. Very beautiful.

THE BODY SHOP

Cosmetic companies have cleverly played with the idea of an Advent calendar, selling samples of their products in it. Very cool idea: and beautiful gift, and the opportunity to try 24 brand products at once. This year The Body Shop released three calendars (the boxes differ in color, content and price), as well as a mini star-shaped version with 8 products. There is only one problem - they are not sold in Russia, but you can order them from the British or American website of the company.

KIEHL'S

One of the most beautiful cosmetic calendars this year. And how many travel jars?! There are 20 miniatures and samples, as well as 4 full products, including my favorite avocado eye cream.

BALMAIN

A luxurious gift for a special person. The Balmain calendar has only 10 doors, but inside there are impressive gifts: moisturizing shampoo, perfume, nail polish, texturizing hair spray, a branded comb and all the luxury stuff.

ASOS

Offering this year a calendar from the Johny Loves Rosie brand. It contains 25 jewelry: rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants. Give and your girlfriend/girlfriend/sister will be provided with accessories for any outfit for a year. In addition, Asos has released two of its own (and very cool) beauty calendars for girls and men, but they are already sold out.

JO MALONE

A beautiful colorful house with candles, shower malts, scrubs and perfumes hidden inside. Expensive, but hard to resist.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY

Of course, this gift is for a) those who know and who love the brand, b) fans decorative cosmetics generally. A very beautiful box that can be used even after the holidays, with the best products of the brand.

DIPTYQUE

If your significant other is a fan of Diptyque scents, you can only imagine their joy when receiving their signature candle and scent calendar. A figurative, and perhaps a real, leap to the ceiling is guaranteed.

L'OCCITANE

I lick my lips at L’Occitane advent calendars every year. These guys have long understood the trend and have been releasing similar sets before the holidays for several years now. This time the brand released two calendars: standard and premium.

NYX

The NYX brand has such a wide range that it is impossible to try everything. You can get closer to this with their “fondant” advent calendar. 24 liquid, matte, satin lipsticks + glosses and pencils. I would buy such a calendar with a couple of friends and sort out the set for three after opening all the cells, why not?!

CLINIQUE

An ideal opportunity to get acquainted with the brand's bestsellers. For the first time they have 24 products, including the famous liquid soap for the face, intense moisturizing cream, cream-gel for the skin around the eyes, lipstick, the famous Lash Power mascara, blush, hand cream and eau de parfum.

BABOR

For fans professional care. 24 ampoules that must be applied day after day from number 1 to number 24. Moisturizing, nourishing, protecting, fighting wrinkles - a skincare fairy tale.

CIATE LONDON

Absolutely a gift for those who love nail polishes and self-care for their hands. The set contains 20 polishes (including their signature glitter), one nail care product, two coatings for durability + some surprise.

PS: While we were making the post, we found out that CIATE had also released a classic beauty calendar with popular products.

FEELUNIQUE

Your own Advent calendar from a popular online cosmetics store. 12 windows and products from Revlon, NYX, invisibobble, Rimmel, Elizabeth Arden and other brands. Everything is provided in full-size versions. I bought and packed a small cosmetic bag for the whole year.

GINVENT

ALCOHOL calendar from Ginvent with 24 bottles of gin. Urgent letter to Santa for adults.

THE PIP STOP

Another alcohol calendar, but for girls. Inside are 24 bottles of champagne.

TANYA BURR vs ZOELLA

Two super popular female bloggers from the UK with their own ideas for advent calendars. Tanya has 12 products from her own cosmetic line (nail polishes, eye shadows, lip glosses), Zoya has the same 12 windows with products from her line of home and shower products.

LOOKFANTASTIC

A very beautiful (and expensive) beauty calendar with references to Alice in Wonderland. 25 products, of which 19 were created specifically for the set. 9 full-size and 16 miniatures. And of course a box that you can use.

DECLEOR

All the brand's bestsellers in one calendar, three products are presented in full-size versions. For a fan of the brand - an ideal gift.

CLARINS

Again a mono-brand option, but this time not even two, but three calendars: for 12 and 24 windows with popular products of the brand, as well as a men’s set. The big one includes lip oil, as well as accessories (keychains, bracelets, cards).

Which you can make with your own hands, for all dreamer parents who love to create an atmosphere of magic and celebration for their children. Of all the holiday preparations, the New Year's waiting calendar for children stands in a special place - the cutest decoration for the holiday home.

30 ideas on how to make your own advent calendar

Since the waiting calendar came to us from Catholic countries, traditionally the Advent calendar for children consists of 24 cards or cardboard houses with gifts, according to the number of days remaining until Catholic Christmas from December 1st.

But since we are counting down to the New Year, your Advent calendar can consist of 31 cards (nowadays bags, bags, bundles, bags, pockets, mittens and everything that your imagination allows) or 24, as in the traditional calendar expectations, just give it to the child not on the first of December, but a few days later.

Another reason to make your own waiting calendar this year is to teach your child how to use a calendar and count.

Advent calendar made from paper bags

All you need to make this advent calendar is paper bags, stencils, beautiful ribbon, and small gifts for children. Gifts can include various sweets (gingerbread cookies, candies, marshmallows or marshmallows), postcards or stickers, small toys or figurines (children love to do things with their own hands, and not just receive ready-made gifts).

Advent calendar for children made from boxes

This advent calendar will come in handy cardboard boxes that can be found in the house, even cardboard paper towel tubes. After all, gifts for children in the New Year's calendar do not have to be large. This could be an eraser or a funny pen with a New Year's print, new colored pencils with your favorite cartoon characters on the packaging, which, by the way, can also be made with your own hands.

Advent calendar made from jewelry boxes

If you don’t have boxes for decorations, then you can make cardboard boxes for an advent calendar with your own hands, using this one, for example.

Advent calendar made from envelopes

This great solution for the New Year's waiting calendar, if you decide to give your child postcards, certificates for purchases and master classes, tickets to New Year's shows or photographs of the most striking events of the past year.

Advent calendar with riddles

On each piece of the New Year's waiting calendar, write the place where the gift is hidden or the one that needs to be guessed in order to receive the prize. Kids love quests and riddles.

Advent calendar for children made from tin cans

Good day!

Today I took on a rather unusual topic for analysis. Some people may not even know about something like this and what they eat it with, ahaha))). Honestly, I myself learned about such a craft a couple of years ago and was immediately interested in the idea. Now I’ll tell you in more detail, if literally translated, the advent calendar is some kind of little cheat sheet or reminder that something very, very important will happen soon. For example, the most important event (date) in your life, Birthday or New Year.

Usually these things are done for children, and they play with them and wait for the right moments. But, I’ve even seen options for husbands, can you imagine?

We all don’t really like to wait, it just happens that way, don’t you agree? It’s precisely this little thing like Advent that will help us have more fun and count the moments. I suggest not buying it in a store, as many do, but making it yourself, using various available tools.

Well, let's figure it out together, choose the stencils and templates you need and like, then run to print and surprise your little children. I hope everyone, without exception, will like the selection, learn with me.

It turns out that such a number was invented in Catholic families, the children eagerly tore off the piece of paper and, having completed the task, received pleasant surprise, such as fruits or sweets. Therefore, I propose to celebrate the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays with mysterious anticipation. Follow all the recommendations and you will definitely succeed.

After all, nothing is impossible, especially when children are already familiar with such calendars and ask for them again and again every year.

We will need:

  • wrapping paper or scrap paper 6 by 10 cm (there will be a hem for the envelope on one side and the other 2 cm and 3 cm)
  • scrapbooking paper, size 30 by 30 cm
  • scissors
  • rhinestones and decorations
  • stationery knife
  • glue or double-sided tape
  • thread or ribbon
  • felt-tip pen or pen

Stages:

1. First, you need to cut the required number of rectangles from wrapping paper, measuring 6 by 10 cm (determine the number yourself, prepare as many as you want to have envelopes).

3. Tie each envelope with thread or ribbon and glue it to scrap paper.

4. Decorate with rhinestones and sign the numbers on the envelopes, they will indicate dates.

Place tasks inside each paper bag, here is a sample, or come up with your own.

The next product is also incredibly beautiful and the author decided to create a calendar from ordinary bags. Which are also made by hand. Here you go step by step instructions in pictures.

Such bags will also decorate your home and give a certain mysterious look to the walls (you will see this later). They will need to be made from scrap paper in the amount of 31 pieces.

Then glue chips onto each copy. They need to be cut, want some samples?

Then use it for your health.

All that remains is the final touch, hang everything on tinsel and decorate it in some other stylish way.

And if suddenly for some reason it was not clear to you how and what is glued where, then please refer to this video.

Master class on how to make an advent calendar for children from paper (templates inside)

Well, now we’ve come to some more work, the simplest and not the most difficult. Even schoolchildren can handle them. Well, and you, as parents or teachers, even more so.

Well, let's start with the craft, it will be in the form of paper ribbons, which you must thread on a string.

I have presented the templates below, but if you want, I can send them by email in PDF format.

No less interesting template in the form of a children's game with windows, carefully cut out the outlines along the dotted lines with a stationery knife, and attach a sheet with tasks.

Here’s another idea in the form of an adventure map; at the bottom you’ll have to make a chest or box for surprises.

Do you want it enlarged? Keep it up, some of you really asked, and dreams should come true))).

Here are ready-made samples.

Beautiful advent calendar for a child for the New Year 2020

The most long-awaited holiday that comes to us in winter and which all children look forward to. This is, of course, New Year or Christmas. So let's make the expectations even brighter.

To do this, you will need notes containing tasks. You can take absolutely any from this article, or take these.

Or these cards.

Some may find the empty ones boring so they can come up with the right games themselves.

So, fold the tasks into a tube and tie them with ribbon or thread. Place them in a jar and pull out one note every day.

After completing the task, glue cotton wool onto Santa Claus, or you can use cotton pads or crumpled napkins directly onto his beard in the form of a ball.

Here are a lot of templates in the New Year theme (Father Frost, Santa). Download any picture to your computer, paste it into Word and print. This one below is in large size, it will need to be printed on several A4 sheets.

Toddlers and slightly older children really like this activity, I assure you. After all, they are exploring the world!

If you have more than one child at home, then make two calendars at once so that there are no fights and insults.

Here are a couple more ideas, this is a wonderful Elf and a fawn.

The simplest thing is Adventik, when you need to paint over the desired date with a felt-tip pen. Catch the Christmas tree.

Or winter composition you like it better.

Friends, but that’s not all, I managed to find one cool option that will be of interest to children in preparatory or high school kindergarten or students primary school. Here are the instructions.

If you still don’t understand who makes such a calendar, then you’ll figure it out now when you see this picture. It turns out that you need to print grandfather and a tear-off beard, request the text for the beard from me through the comments, I will send it to everyone for free by email.

  • The beard will be made of two parts that need to be glued together, I show one part here (as you can see, the text is difficult to see, so ask, everything looks clear in the document, for some reason it shows here).

For very young children, such countdowns will be difficult, so I suggest shortening the days and waiting a week before the upcoming day.

Or you can even make a Christmas tree, on which you glue one paper ball every day.

As soon as the balloons run out, the New Year will begin.

Advent with tasks for schoolchildren

In a rather original way, you can imagine Advent in the form of houses. And it’s not at all difficult to complete them, especially if your child is in school and is 6-7 years old.

I have all the samples in the archive, unfortunately I can’t put them all in the article, they are in this form.

Or these little ones, I also have them in my archive, I found them in one group on VKontakte.

There is also a superb work in the form of cubes from which you can lay out a mosaic in the shape of a Christmas tree.

And here are the tasks themselves, download and print them out. They are not difficult, and are suitable for absolutely all age categories (5-6 years), and even kids (3-4 years).

A pretty cool idea to create an advent calendar was published on the YouTube channel. Moreover, the creator shared his author’s work. I want you to watch this story too. Bravo!

Advent calendar made from matchboxes

You have no idea, but it's really cool! Such a thing is unlikely to stand on its own; as soon as children see it, they will immediately begin to question and play. In addition, the advantage of such a craft is that it will last you more than one year. That's for sure!

To begin with, I suggest you master the simplest option, click on the view button.

Now, as for more complicated work, you can design it in the form of a box or a funny house. Use your imagination, glue, scissors and scrap paper.

And now the master class, all the description will be immediately in the photo. So, what a job, friends!

By the way, you (if you are a teacher or teacher) can involve your parents in this matter so that they can later use such a miracle in kindergarten.

Well, how did you like it? I really like this, such a good idea, respect to the author. And here is another picture from the Internet.

Advent calendar ideas for kids

Well, we got to something even more amazing unusual options, I want to show you everything, but the note is not rubber). I collected everything that I haven’t talked to you about yet, so let’s go.

A wonderful and creative calendar would be an option using plastic cups. It will turn out quite voluminous. Look, you can take cups from under Rastishka.

Here is a set in the form of a locker.

For amateurs felt toys you need to make something like this in the form of stars.

Use any available means.

If you like this method of decoration, write to me and I will send you templates for the pockets.

The pockets will be in this format:

They even used clothespins, and it looked like a snowflake.

Or hang bags with surprise moments on them.

In the West, it is customary to make such calendars from socks or knitted mittens.

And if it’s a child’s birthday, then make his expectations brighter, for example, create a flower like this from lollipops. And pull out one every day, when they end, the long-awaited day will come. Great idea, isn't it?

And here is another option from kinder surprises (that is, their plastic cases).

Would you like another idea, wow, it’s light and at the same time cool, made from balloons.

This is the post for today, from which you learned about how to make an advent calendar and what it is actually needed for. Take note, because there are many holidays throughout the year.

I wish you all good luck, inspiration and patience. Press the buttons social networks, share your finds and write reviews and comments at the bottom of the note. Thank you all for your attention, and see you again! Goodbye.

The Christmas (or Advent) calendar is a special thing with which in European countries children and adults count down the days until the main holiday of the year. Today it is becoming increasingly popular in Russia. And an increasing number of people are making their own New Year’s advent calendar. Probably because the process of its creation also seems to bring the holiday closer.

What is an advent calendar?

As a rule, a classic advent calendar has 24 cells (Christmas in Europe is celebrated on December 25). The Russian equivalent already has 30 of them, because we are making a calendar for the New Year. Each cell contains a task or a miniature gift. For example, if you make a calendar from Christmas socks, you can put a lollipop, a tangerine, a kinder surprise or something else in each of them. The gift can be accompanied by a task that will be easy and pleasant to complete. You can make an advent calendar without gifts, but just with notes.

If earlier Advent calendars of this type were popular only with mothers who wanted to please their babies, today the demand for them is much wider. Many adults make an advent calendar for themselves just to decorate their home and remember to prepare for the New Year. Completing tasks brings back that same feeling of celebration - like in childhood. So if you have long lost the magical and pleasant anticipation of the New Year, make an advent calendar for yourself.

Where can I get assignments?

We decided not to be distracted from the main topic - making the advent calendar itself. If only because many people make it simply as mini-gifts for children. So we will post lists of tasks in our groups VKontakte and in Odnoklassniki in the coming days. There we will leave a list of possible (and, importantly, budget) gifts for every day, because many parents complain that they cannot come up with a variety of gifts and are constantly repeating themselves.

Join us, because in groups we will also publish tasks for children and adults daily. Get ready for the holiday with us!

How to make an Advent calendar?

Well, now let's get down to the main and most interesting thing. We offer you a selection best ideas and master classes for creating do-it-yourself advent calendars.

Matchboxes: 3 calendar ideas

It's time to start saving matchboxes now, because you will need as many as 30 pieces. Take a look at 3 interesting ideas advent calendars using them.

  • Chest of drawers

The boxes are simply glued together. You can connect them with tape and paint them with a marker. Or cover it with beautiful wrapping paper. For fun, you can put numbers on the boxes and mix them together.

  • Board

Draw any surface (chalkboard, cardboard, plywood, etc.) into squares. Put a number on each one. Place in each cell a box covered with beautiful colored paper. Decorate them with ribbons or buttons. To make opening the boxes easier, make small “tongues” out of paper.

Place the boxes on edge and fasten them in a row together. Gradually climb up, reducing their number. This way you will make a Christmas tree with a surprise, which you will then need to decorate with wrapping paper. For interest, the boxes can be arranged not in order, but mixed.

To advent calendars from matchboxes You can include not only notes with tasks, but also small sweets, chocolate medals, beads, etc.

Bags: 2 complex and 1 simple option

A super easy way to combine gifts and tasks into an advent calendar is to make one out of cute numbered bags.

We have already told you how to sew a bag correctly, so we will not dwell on this in detail. If you don't have that much fabric on hand or you just don't want to bother with it, sew 7 bags - a supply for a week. Next, simply cut out the numbers from felt (take stencils) and change them. The numbers can be attached to the bags with pins.

Burlap looks especially beautiful and cozy. It’s easy to work with, so it definitely makes sense to use it as a basis. You can tie bags gift paper, and then secure them to a horizontal spruce branch. Imitation New Year's tree can be made from tinsel.

You can choose any other material, and then simply hang the bags on strings or secure them with clothespins.

If you are too lazy to bother with sewing bags, sew simple bags for the Advent calendar. They can be hung using built-in rings or clothespins. Don't forget the numbers. You can put candy in each little bag: just tie it to a piece of paper with the task.

If you wish, instead of 30 or 7 bags, you can make only 1 bag, and then simply change the number on it every day. True, there is a little less interest. It’s great when you can see that there are a lot of bags, and each one contains a gift. If you put tangerines in bags, do it early in the morning so that they do not spoil.

Boxes

If your family loves ice cream, processed cheese, or any other food that can be left behind in plastic containers, this is the option for you. They will even fit plastic cups from yogurt. If you start saving them now, you’ll be able to handle them by December.

We connect the boxes together with threads or plasticine. They can be attached to a vertical surface or left on the table. Glue a number with the date on the lid of each box.

If you don’t have that many boxes, you can lay out 7 boxes per week or make them out of cardboard.

Cardboard gifts

You can make small surprises for the Advent calendar from ordinary cardboard and craft paper by placing a task or a small gift in each of them. It would be great to hang such a craft by strings in the room and cut a box from it every day.

You can use a matchbox as a base or simply fold cardboard into a box. You can simply wrap the surprises in paper and accompany them with a task note.

Along with the boxes on this garland you can hang New Year's decor: Christmas decorations, nuts, gold coins, etc.

Paper bags

Perhaps this is one of the most simple options homemade advent calendar. Make paper bags from craft, wrapping or colored paper - they can be made in a few minutes.

Cut out a long rectangle, make small folds and connect along the edges. It’s impossible to put gifts in such bags - they won’t hold up. But for small candies and pieces of paper with tasks, they are suitable.

Clothespins and felt decorations will help you assemble the bags into the advent calendar. Make numbers using stencils and cut out stars or Christmas trees. Secure everything with glue and connect it with one long rope.

The bags can be decorated with hearts, angels, Christmas trees, and snowmen. Just draw them on beautiful paper of a different color and glue it to the central part.

Together with the advent calendar, you will end up with a very nice decor for the New Year.

Engine

If there is a man in your house who loves to tinker various crafts made of wood, the creation of an advent calendar can be entrusted to him. True, not everyone will decide to make 30 trailers. But you can have only 7 or, say, 5 - why not?

The locomotive consists of completely ordinary boxes that are placed on wheels. They can be painted or covered with paper.

If you don't want to make a train out of wood, replace the carriages with cardboard ones. Cut off the bottom of the milk or juice carton - this is the base for the trailer.

Cups

Ordinary paper disposable cups can also become the basis for an advent calendar. It will be great to find ones that are prepared specifically for the New Year and are already decorated in a holiday theme.

You can decorate the cups with your own hands. Bright stickers or applications made of beautiful paper are suitable for this.

Glue a piece of paper with a number on each cup. You can put small gifts or notes with tasks inside. For convenience and beauty, the cups can be placed on top of each other in the form of a Christmas tree.

If desired, you can replace the cups with cans or any other ready-made containers

Take everything you have. The main thing is the cover, number and design.

Wrapping paper

If you decide to follow the example of most Europeans and give your child not one big, but many small gifts for the holiday, do it in the form of an advent calendar.

Wrap gifts in the form of candies, put them in boxes, make little bags out of them. It is best to take paper of the same color to make it more pleasing to the eye. Place a piece of paper with a number on each gift. You can also attach a label with the task: completed - you can open the gift.

Miniature town

Use cardboard colored paper and bushings. Make different animals. You can also use cups. They would also make a very amusing menagerie.

Collect everything in one place. Label each item with a number. Roll up the paper with the task tightly and hide it inside the object (you can glue it). The hero who has already fulfilled his purpose in the advent calendar can move into the category of toys. Gradually the whole craft will “move” like this.

Envelopes or cards

If you don't want to spend too much time creating an advent calendar, you can make one from envelopes or cards.

Come up with the main part of the decor. If we are hanging cards or envelopes, it could be glitter thread, beads with pine cones or fir needles, twinkle lights, tinsel or something else. Attach the cards to clothespins or strings.

By the way, if you use clothespins, it would be great to make them decorative. Check out our selection of master classes: you will learn how beautifully you can decorate them.

Cards and envelopes can be made using decorative paper so that the advent calendar turns out elegant.

Or you can even create a canvas from envelopes on cardboard white. Just add a little winter and New Year's decor.

For children, this is a series of fun holidays filled with joyful events, interesting gifts and lots of sweets. They are looking forward to this magical date with great anticipation. Give your child an advent calendar that will help him navigate the days left before the holiday and receive small rewarding gifts to brighten up the tedious wait.

What is Advent

Catholics call Advent the period of anticipation for the holiday, which covers the last four weeks before Christmas (December 25). These days, believers are preparing for big holiday, conduct various rituals, observe fasting. On each of the four Sundays in the church you can hear Gospel readings on the themes of the coming of Christ, the transition from the Old Testament to the New, and the events preceding Christmas.
There is a popular tradition among Catholics called the “Advent wreath.” They decorate houses and churches. This wreath is made from spruce branches. Four candles are inserted into it. One of them is lit on the first Sunday of Advent. In the second, two candles are already burning, in the third, three. On the last, fourth Sunday before Christmas, all the candles on the wreath are lit, which symbolizes the imminent arrival of the upcoming holiday.

Try making a calendar yourself. It will take very little of your time, and the baby will get a lot positive impressions. To begin, prepare the following tools and materials:

  • matchboxes;
  • wrapping paper;
  • scissors;
  • double-sided tape;
  • push pins;
  • decorative sock for gifts;
  • ribbons, bows, sparkles and other decorative elements.

To make your own advent calendar, wrap each box in colorful wrapping paper. Then you should build a figurine from them in the form of a Christmas tree and fasten the elements together. Then you should decorate the impromptu Christmas tree as you wish and write a number on the back of each box. You need to put a piece of paper with a task in each box. A decorative sock is attached to the wall near the Christmas tree using pushpins. Then you should put gifts for the baby in it.

Happy holidays to you!
