Many needlewomen love to produce their own hands for home in the decoupage technique. For decoupage, or special napkins from the store for artists, or any like they sell, which are sold in economic departments. We in our master class use a napkin, specially intended for this type of work.

Decoupage wooden casket

For decorating with a decoupage of the usual, no noticeable wooden box, we need the following materials:

  • wooden billet box, in our case the most common box;
  • acrylic paints of wood shades;
  • decoupage card;
  • glue for decoupage;
  • aerosol varnish;
  • two-having cracker;
  • copper pigment;
  • glue for sweat;
  • potted crumb;
  • skar;
  • shellaic varnish;
  • transparent wax.

Master class on decoupage wooden box

In the master class, we will show you how easy it is to make an excellent decoupapable box.

1. First of all, we proceed to the primary processing of the workpiece, that is, the casket itself. To do this, we need to use the skirt. We rub the casket with the skin until it becomes as smooth as possible.

2. Now we define which parts of the box we need to starve, that is, with the help of paints to darken the color of the tree. The top of the casket does not need to starve, as it will be decorated with a napkin. In order not to stain it, we put it with painting scotch.

3. Now we will starve the casket. It is better to do it in series, several shades suitable for color to the drawing. Morilor make a mixture of acrylic paint and a glazing medium, which gives the paint transparency. Mix the shade close to the color of the girl's hair behind the piano.

4. Tassel freeze the casket, let it dry.

5. Now mix more red shade, similar to the dress of the second girl. The box slightly darkens.

6. Finally we use the most dark color, cover them with a box, let me dry.

7. After that, you can send a little face casket, thereby choosing them.

8. We got a casket in the tones close to the tones of the girls for the piano. The time of decoupage card has come. Cut the map on the size of the casket.

9. Machine a decoupapable napkin for several minutes into the water. This will help the picture a little stretch to applying glue. If we do not do this, the picture will begin to stretch during the gluing process and bubbles may appear.

10. While the napkin is soaked, so as not to waste time, you can cook everything you need for gluing. We wash the lid with glue, put paper towels for labeling pictures before gluing.

11. Now we glue the decoupapable napkin to the cover of the box.

12. Using a rough skirt, remove the extra edges of the napkin.

13. After that, we carefully dry the decoupapable card and cover it by another layer of glue-varnish. Let the casket dry.

14. We apply the first layer of cracker. It is most convenient to apply it straight with a thin layer, smearing circular movements.

15. After that, we wait for half an hour, the first layer will become transparent. You can apply a second layer. He is a brownish color, very much resembles a gumiarabic, rather liquid. It should be done carefully, in no case pouring too much. The layer is better to apply as thinner as possible, because the thick layer is sometimes exfoliated during the formation of cracks, it will spoil the entire view of the casket.

16. Now it is necessary to wait 3-4 hours until the craklers dry out and covers the network of beautiful cracks.

17. Next proceed to rubbing cracks. Here you need to be careful - in most cases, water soluble craklers, so water drop or wet fingers can leave ugly prints. So rub the cracks better with a cotton disk. As a grout, you can take pigment, butter or bitumen. I rub the circular movements by taking some pigment to the disk.

18. Correct with aerosol varnish, it is better to apply several layers.

19. Now we cover the entire wooden lacquer box.

20. At this stage, it is possible to stop - our decoupage box is already ready and covered with varnish. But let's try to continue decoking, giving it a kind of old-fashioned thing using the Poted crumb.

21. Apply a little glue to the palette and rub a slightly face of the casket around the motive and a little on the sides.

22. When the glue became transparent, you can apply a potature: we apply the leaf to the place where the glue was applied and slightly pressed on top of a soft brush. Very convenient to take the leaflets swept from the jar with an electrified brush.

23. When Paluth is applied to all droplets of the glue and stuck well to it, it is possible to consider the surplus with the caskets against the wool, and collect them back into the jar for future works. And the work itself is fixed by several layers of shellah varnish. Here it is impossible to use acrylic varnish, in which case the Potolina will oxide after a while.

24. Now let's give the sides of the box a small copper tide. This requires a palette, wax and copper pigment.

25. Mix the wax and some pigment to a homogeneous mass.

26. We rub the wax to work with a brush or sponge.

27. After a few hours, we have a soft cloth with a soft cloth. From the inside the box process or leave without processing, depending on the purpose of the casket.

28. Now the casket is ready.

On this page you will find decoupage boxes for the lady, namely, the story and my little experience in creating things in the style of Shebbi Chic. Let this master class obscures you to new creative experiments and interesting work.

Once I got criticized about the fact that most of my products are dark and old. Of course, I relate to calmly to such remarks and I understand that it is even very useful, but for some reason it sang very deeply in the soul and did not let me go for a long time. And why not that I prevent me from making a casket with your own hands in bright pastel colors. For me, an amateur of bituminous varnish, aging and other losses, it turned out it is very difficult, but something happened.

Materials and tools

What do we need?

  • billet;
  • napkin for decoupage;
  • glue for decoupage or pva;
  • contour paint Tair;
  • artistic acrylic white soil sonnet;
  • plastic frame (silicone Mold, liquid plastic, disposable cup and kneading wish);
  • medallion for frame;
  • white acrylic paint;
  • acrylic lacquer;
  • synthetic brushes.

Decoupage

Covered with white soil wooden box.

The sidewalls and the lid will decorate a beautiful napkin with a background floral pattern, which I prepared in advance on Photoshop and printed under the necessary workpiece parameters.

Cut from the napkin strip width equal to the height of the sidewall casket. And the same strip from the film (file). We will glue as always - by the file method.

Lay a strip from a napkin facial side Down the film and pour a little driver on it so that the napkin stretches. We apply glue on the sidewalls and glue the napkin with the film on the surface.

We carry out a cloth on the film to drive out all air bubbles and the residue of the glue. Now you can remove the film.

Remove the excess water and glue using a dry cloth, gently applying it to the surface of the napkin. If there was not enough napkins on the full circumference length, as in my case, it is necessary to add the remaining part of another short strip of the napkin. Strive out a small piece and a little braziness of the previous strip, take it using a file or if you easily cost it without it, then with a brush and glue. It is important that the paper was torn edges. This will make it possible to make a less noticeable area of \u200b\u200bthe surface where you were adhesive with a mustache paper.

In the same way, we carry the image on the casket cover.

After complete drying of the glued napkin, the surplus can be easily removed with the help of a stationery knife. We pass along the edge of the knife, but we do not like much, we need to cut off just a thin layer of napkins. Then the surplus rushing the wet brush and remove the glued paper.

To get more evenly colors, tapping the remaining section of the box with white paint.

We protect the surface with a thin layer of acrylic varnish and proceed to the next stage of decoration.

Contour paint draw the framing on the edge of the border of the napkin as shown in the photo. Instead of contour paint, you can use the putty dilute PVA glue, as in the photo master class on the decor of the tray. The pattern may be any - it can be just points at the same distances from each other, and may be "drops" as in this case. For beginners, it may be more difficult for beginners, so first practice on the draft, and you will definitely work out.

Plastic frame

Another lid will decorate a frame of plastic. You can buy a finished frame (metallic or plastic) in art stores, but you can get yourself if you have silicone Mold and liquid plastic.

We mix both components as described in the instructions (usually 1: 1) and pour Mold. After 10 minutes (according to the instructions), you can remove the frame. I do not expect the composition completely hardens, and I remove it when it is still a little plastic. So less likely that it breaks. Medallion decorate a decoupage in the technique, insert into the frame and ready.

"Draw" Mesh

Now proceed to the "drawing" of the mesh. Why I took this word in quotes, but because we will not draw anything. Fair!

Prepare the surface to the decor, namely cover it with varnish in 2 - 3 layers, and after final drying, fix top The sidewalls are painted with scotch, as in the photo.

The mesh will be superimposed by dry strips of contour acrylic paint. How to do it?

Pre-for 1-2 hours you need to squeeze the necessary number of "threads" of contour paint on a clean file. They can be located on the file are inactively, chaotically - it is not scary. Try to start the strip (thread) of a flat line at least 3 cm (for this box required Length 3-3.5 cm). With experience you will have longer and even lines.

Through an hour, and better two can be sprinkled with a strip and check for strength. Try it slightly stretch. If she quickly broke, then leave another 1-0.5 hours. Dry. If the "thread" is durable, then acrylic is trying, and you can begin to decor. Select a more successful thread, separate it from the file, cut a slightly tip with scissors and apply to the surface, as shown in the photo.

Initially, lay off strips with a slope one way, then to another. Unnecessary thread cut off with the help of a stationery knife. We press each strip toothpick so that acrylic is well closed to the surface. It turns out a mesh. It is important that the decorative surface is not a porous, not absorbing, so on lacquered by acrylic varnish.

At the end, we will need a longer and smooth (drying on the file) strip. We assign it to the surface, closing the mesh into the frame, as shown in the photo.

If the connection location turned out not very neatly, then the joke can be decorated (hide) with accessories or semi-graysin. Now you can remove the greasy tape. That's what we did. Ready work must be covered with 1 - 2 thin layer of varnish. And inside the casket can be covered with white velvet cloth.

A gift for a wedding with your own hands.

  • on the surface of the drawing, spend varnish and give it to dry. On the reverse side, fix the scotch. Remove the top of the picture. It should be very thin, practically transparent;
  • several layers of varnish are applied to the picture. After its drying, the drawing is laying out into the water for half an hour. The workpiece gets and rolled the inner layer with hands;
  • in the case of using photobums, it is also originally covered with varnish. When the lacquer dries, the photo is on the wet surface for five minutes and the slice is fitted, disconnecting the paper layer from the photo itself.

Decoupage Casket: Equipment and Shebbi-Chic (video)

Decoupage Caskets (video)

Once out of my hands one box. And it was decorated only with printouts (without stencils, contours, complex decorative techniques and other gloves). Only decoupage printouts, aging - well, a ribbon. And still photographs of the process) and since the process turned out to be quite interesting, then I am pleased to share them with you - So, meet : master class on decoupage caskets only printouts and ribbon!)))

1. The idea was born from this picture - I really liked the medallion, but the background I decided to do my own.

(Pictures increase by clicking)

2. First of all cooking Prints. Main idea - so that in the box there were no half-hearted circles, so the size of the printout was very carefully adjusted. Actually, the color too - initially I downloaded from the Internet simply the background in the polka dot and changed, "chocolate" color manually.

Here they are, my good:

The central spot on the bright was created specifically, so that there were no halves around the medallion, Quarters and other fragments :) All these fragments create a sense of incompleteness, chance, and in harmonious work the less random, the better. Historically, all works of decorative and applied art were completed, completed, as a fully risked story. But the tormented or cropped fragments are already underwater history (of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but this is not the topic of this master class :) Therefore, it was important for me to "take a story" and make all the circles with integers.

For the inner picture, I prepared this cute candy - cut it out of another picture and prepared for impairment (made a mirror reflection).

I ordered a medallion at the carpenter, but you can make it from plastics, self-hardening mass or even from cardboard.

3. Print All the backgrounds and pictures, most often I do it on a tracing (printer I have a laser, beloved).

4. We begin to glue - Dark background down, light - upstairs. This step I will miss, here and so everything is clear. The main thing is that everything is symmetrically and without halves of circles.

5. Strike cuts sidewalls and bottom, Pain the joints if the junction line turned out to be thick and white.

Collect light paint (not white, closer to the muffled ivory - in the tone of the top background) all other parts Caskets, including inside.

6. Slightly we inject unlaced printouts on the sidewalls. If under the printing there were some grains, katips, thick dust or some other garbage (and I didn't really try to keep clean, even on the contrary), they will be released and become white points. Doing the same with dornish and painted slices sideways- Recubs to scratches and spots.

7. You can even trim the poor box, like this: so:

8. After all of our "tormenting", these are dusty (from paint and toner with printouts), they will also go to move: they can inflate on a brush with varnish and check the sidewalls and insides, then on bright spots in some places there will be dark dust, and on a dark background - white scratches and scratches. It looks very natural (try to find them in photos further). Part of the dusty I simply kept inside the casket.

9. We go dry brush with light paint at the top - Building dark specks (dry brush is a bristle with a drop of paint, carefully distributed throughout the woof, so that there are light dry traces of strips, and the surface seemed like the right color). By the way, so far all sections of sidewalls freshly stained and freshlylated, it is best to insert a file between themOtherwise, they will stick around in a closed form and have to start staining again.

10. Dry paint brush with dark paint pass through all light areas and ribs.

11. The next stage of aging: we dilute water liquid paint, patina, medium - What do you want, and we apply on inland ribs and face.

Wipe dryThere is a light blurred of internal edges, a dry brush is not done.

12. Imagine a drawing on the back of the cover (Issimate the glossy varnish the image itself and the place on the workpiece where we want to log down, then apply a printout with a picture to the workpiece and thoroughly align, drive out bubbles and extra varnish).

As you can see, this printout is also done on a tracing. And it is much more convenient and faster than implanting the office leaf.

13. Miss the lusion (you can be sandpaper, you can brush for the brush):

14. Advanced we apply a liquid patina on the ribs (But no longer aquatic, namely liquid medium-based, or ready antik Plaid, or paint with a retarder or medium). Purpose - blur with a recess between two ribs.

15. The same patina we apply on the corners and edges of the lid:

Carefully rentice, clean the surplus. It turns out such aging:

16. Repeat in the middle of the lid - under the locket and around it.

And on the sidewalls:

17. We glue a printout on the medallion, staining the side sections, we carry out a liquid patina at the top and dry brush with light paint along the edges of the medallion.

18. Varnish. Very cool leg matt lacquer Marabu on solvent-based basis, enough pairs of layers. The surface is very matte, pleasant and eyes, and palms. No skins, let there be many tubercles and irregularities (but not only lacquers).

19. We glue a bow on the sidewallsAfter, having completed several stores in search of a suitable chocolate shade :)

And so - the work is completed. It is a pity that only I have only photos taken at the exhibition: I did not have time, after it - alas :)

(Photos are enlarged by clicking)

I always liked this casket, despite all its simplicity. Maybe because chocolate color is such a win-win, maybe for some reason ... But before the master class, the hands reached only now, although they were made almost two years ago :)

Decoupage technology is now applied in schools, artistic circles, kindergartens in one form or another, helping to develop in children creative skills, imagination and fantasy. Decoupage caskets for beginners creative path of personalities will be not only a cognitive lesson. This occupation is well developing the motorcy of the fingers, forms a permeability, tears to accuracy in work.

Even without having drawing skills, a child, having mastered the decoupage or cutting equipment and appliqués, will be able to create original pictures on simple surfaces to your taste. The easiest decoupage of the box is to decorate the lid and, possibly, the side surfaces are cut out of the paper or other similar material similar material. Such a thinned pattern or several composite images are glued to the surface, creating a certain illusion of hand painted.

Decoupage

Under the decoupage, professionals understand the imitation of artistic painting applique. Thanks it is made, the smaller the glued drawing is noticeable, the higher the artist's skill.

Decoupage boxes (from fr. Decouper - cut) - a type of applied art, based on drawing, ornament, pattern fragment, most often cut out of paper, on the prepared surface by appliqués on glue, followed by a coating of the composition with varnish to give a product of decorative properties.

Decoupage makes it possible even without preparation to make a simple wooden box unique and useful in everyday life, suitable for a gift to a loved one.

Decoupage of the box, the master class of which includes in addition to the applique elements of screen painting, patina effects or hand paintings, can be attributed to a more complex artistic meaning of this art.

Decoupage History

The roots of the occurrence of the decoupage stretch to the Middle Ages. For the first time, the mention of this type of art is found at the end of the XV century. In the XVII century, when in Europe there was an inlaid furniture in Europe, Venetian masters found a simple way to fake her. They cut out the image, glued it on the furniture and covered with a varnish (up to 40 layers). Such an imitation in those times was called the "art of the poor" and was quite cheap.

There are references to decoupage and at the courtyard of King Louis. In England, for the first time, specially prepared printed sheets appeared with images for cutting and subsequent gluing. From the XIX century Decoupage Casket has become a popular view applied creativity. From England, the passion spread to America.

We received this technique wide application only at the beginning of the XXI century and became a fashionable trend in decorating not only boxes, but also handbags, hats, dishes, interior items, clothing and fashion accessories.

Types of decoupage

Select 5 main varieties of decoupage.

  1. The classic basic (straight) decoupage of the box or any other surface is essentially a simple applique of artistic motifs.
  2. To decorate glass surfaces (door of cabinets, servants), the drawing is most often glued to their inner side of the face. This technique is called reverse decoupage.
  3. To decorate the surface in order to conceal the transitions between the edge of the applique and the background, additional effects often use. This technique is called artistic decoupage.
  4. Decoupage of a wooden box with a multitude of individual motifs when completely the entire surface is closed with decorated elements, as flaps on a blanket, called decopath or peevery.
  5. If there are pieces of natural materials (stones, sinks, eggs, eggshell), as well as flaps of fabric, leather, fur, then such a type of decoupage is used in the appliques for decorating.

Decoupage Casket: Ideas

It is customary to distinguish between several decoupage styles. So, designing the surface with imitation noble Starina In the elevated and pastel colors with light irregularities of the glued pattern and weak losses include Provence style (from the name of the province in France). Plots: grapes and winemaking, fields, sunflowers, houses in Dali.

Pottenitance, loss and explicit "woolness" of surfaces are characteristic of shebi-chic style. This direction is characterized by easy blurring drawing on a gentle background. Frequently applied plots of small flowers, roses, birds, angels and palaces.

Urban style (sympl-city) strict and democratic. The most common elements of appliqués from newspaper and magazine cuts with torn edges are most often.

The classic luxury of Victorian style is associated with the period of Queen Victoria. It is characterized by plots with roses, oak leaves, still lifes or hunting, using gold shades and ornaments in a cage or strip.

With the development of tourism, a new direction of decoupage - Eityl appeared. It is characterized by stylistics different countries With colorful plots of landscapes and exotic fruits, using various tissues and animal skins.

Depending on the selected style, the decoupage of the casket will change. Decor ideas are updated all the time, it takes time, new fashion trendsChanges consumer demand.

Objects for decoupage

In addition to the casket, cardboard boxes, boards, trays and elements of furniture decoupage can be reappearing handbags, caps, fashionable accessories, fabric. Suitable for design in such a glass, porcelain and ceramics.

Simple decoupage caskets for beginners can imply the use of cuts from newspapers or bright magazines. Photos and postcards are suitable, but the easiest way is a napkin technique. You can purchase specially prepared decoupage cards or translation images. Such materials with the reproductions of the Great Masters paintings make it possible to imitate antique painting.

Often in appliqués include buttons, pieces of fabrics or natural materials: dried leaves, shells, pebbles, egg shell, bones of fish, fur skins and artificial fur.

The original decoupage of the wooden casket will be able to use posters from directories and reference books. You can take plants schemes, old geographical maps, stamps and labels. Now there is a color copying, so that there is no problems with the choice of image, you only need to fix the ink with a special varnish so that they do not "float" on the glue.

For serious work, experts use not ordinary PVA glue, but specially designed formulations. An acrylic varnish is used to secure operation results. Use bitumen formulations, patinas, tonal paints, crustaceous varnish, mastic with a 3D effect.

Effects

To give a decorated object of originality of the Master I use various techniques. To create the effect of the composition, you can use wax. They rub the corners and places most subjected to wear. Then the entire surface is painted with tonal paint. After drying, the paint in the places of applying wax is easily fought by imitating scuffs.

It is interesting to look at the decoupage styled decoupage with a tired surface. This effect is achieved through the use of special crochelle varnish. It is applied between two layers of contrasting paints. After drying, it cracks, the bottom-colored layer is bare.

Noble Patina occurs after a long contact of the item with hands. Fast effect Patinating can be achieved using special varnishes. Dark shades are available, as well as metallic and color.

For smooth transition Colors use shading. To decoupage the caskets using the reproduction of the picture was less noticeable on the background of the surface, the boundaries of the glued pattern are shadowed by paint, creating the effect of mucus muffling.

Applying color spots on the finished work, you can tint the image. A good effect is obtained when covering work with a varnish with sparkles. For expensive boxes, potal is used - imitation of gravestone or natural subtle sheets of precious metal.

Preparation for decoupage

The selected motive is most often cut along the contour, but you can do it with the allowance. In this case, the remaining edges to the contour of the figure after drying the glue carefully rubbing to leveling with the level of the casket surface.

If a fat card is chosen as an applique, then without thinning its edge will be released on a general background. In this case, thick paper must be soak in water and carefully separate the lower layers. The same can be done with a photo. Dry paper can be thinned at the edges of the scotch. It is glued and carefully tear down with layers of paper.

To give a special effect, the image can be trimmed by contours of figure scissors for photos. You can spend the edges of the image in several places.

The preparation of the casket lies in stripping the surface of the shallow sandpaper on the plane and edges. After that, it is necessary to primarily be brought in water in water PVA or immediately acrylic background paint.
