This is one of the largest collections of wedding photography tips on the internet, combined on one page.

I would like to thank the group of photographers at the Improve Photography Facebook Page for helping me develop this article, which ended up with a whopping 68 helpful tips.

1. Wear comfortable shoes for shooting

This advice may sound a little strange, but you have no idea how much you will have to move and walk while filming a wedding. Of course, studs are more suitable for wedding ceremony but trust me, you will blow your mind and be the grumpiest wedding photographer on the planet.

At almost every wedding, there is a person who knows better than you how to arrange people in the frame, from what angle it is better to shoot, etc. It is better to give up all advice right away, the wedding photographer must be confident and responsible. Be polite and make it clear that you want something different. The spouses, in turn, will appreciate how quickly and accurately you do your job.

3. Talk frankly about shooting before the wedding.

Many couples take the tradition very seriously that the groom should not see the bride in the dress until after the wedding. In such cases, I try to calmly convey that I need to spend at least an hour with the bride and groom (and no one else) in order to make a decent wedding album with really good pictures. Quite often, couples simply cannot physically find time to shoot on their wedding day, so they agree to have a photo session the day before the ceremony. It is also a great opportunity for the bride to try out her hair and makeup.

4. Make sure the bride is happy

Most often, I hear complaints from brides that the photographer missed a certain shot (for example, he did not photograph her, the bride, with a school friend, or forgot her little sister in a pink dress). The best way To avoid such incidents is to meet with the bride in advance and ask her to make a list of required photos. You can also bring examples to the meeting. wedding photos(for example, on an iPad) so that the bride can choose the positions she likes. Be sure to bring a list of wedding photos with you and check the boxes as you go. Typically, this list is limited to 15 required snapshots.

5. Change lenses depending on the mood of the bride and groom

If you find that the bride and groom are not relaxed enough and do not interact well in front of the camera, then the best thing you can do is change the lens to a longer one (for example, 200mm) and move away from the couple. This will give the young people a chance to relax a little, as a result, their interaction will be more natural, and you will take good pictures. A little later, when the bride and groom get used to your presence, it will be possible to get closer and change the lens.

6. Find out the names

When meeting with the bride and groom in advance, ask for the names and phone numbers of the best man and bridesmaid. Typically, these people accept Active participation in the organization of the wedding ceremony, and perhaps they will be useful to you.

7. Do you want to keep the dress white in the photo?

If you want the dress in the photo to be white instead of gray, then you will have to resort to positive exposure compensation. The light meter in your camera, seeing White dress, decides that this area of the image is simply too bright and not white. As a result, the camera will darken the entire photo to compensate for the overly bright area. By setting positive exposure compensation, you can deal with this problem in an instant.

8. Rent a spare carcass

Once I got into a very unpleasant situation and now I am always reinsured. In the middle of the celebration, my equipment had a technical failure. It’s a terrible feeling when you look at your camera screen in the middle of a wedding and see the inscription: “ERR: 99”. Fortunately, you can rent a spare case, the cost of this service is not high, and having a second unit gives you confidence.

9. Rent a second carcass for speed

Having two carcasses is good not only for safety, but also for your own convenience, as it allows you to have different lenses on two cameras. During the celebration, you can quickly switch from telephoto to standard zoom as needed. Once you've tried dual cameras, you'll never want to go back to shooting with one body.

10. Hire a second photographer

Most aspiring wedding photographers don't use a second photographer. But if you have the financial ability, then it is definitely worth the money. Firstly, then not a single good shot will definitely be missed, and secondly, you will have a second set of equipment in case of unforeseen circumstances.

11. How cheap or free to hire a second photographer

Write a message to several photographers from your city with a proposal for mutually beneficial cooperation. They will act as a second photographer for your wedding, and you, in turn, will do them the same service while filming their wedding.

12. Take care of extra batteries

Your battery's energy is not infinite. Be sure to spend $ 20 and get a spare battery from Amazon, or better yet two.

13. Don't Forget About Memory Cards

I love to shoot weddings with cameras with two memory card slots (like Nikon D7000 and many other high end cameras) because it gives me the ability to duplicate every photo, i.e. one photo is saved to two flashcards at once. This is another way to play it safe. I never go to a wedding with less than 30 gigabytes of total card storage. I don’t take too many pictures, it’s not the quantity that matters, but the quality.

14. Watch out for the bride and groom with their brothers and sisters

Photos of the bride and groom with their siblings tend to be some of the most moving, so don't miss the moment!

15. Don't overdo it.

Just be yourself, but at the same time, do not lose your presence. People will love it if you don't wear masks.

16. Don't get confused

Of course, the spouses want a personable and cheerful photographer for their wedding, but do not forget that this is their day, not yours. Try to make the photo a fun part of the party, but remember to step out into the shade whenever possible. This is especially important during the ceremony and during the making of speeches and toasts. Give them some space and use a telephoto lens for such cases.

17. Don't miss the details

Don't forget to capture the details of the wedding, such as wedding rings, bridal appliques, wedding cake and so on. The fact is that the bride spent a lot of time (perhaps even more than one month) preparing for this important day and keeping track of every little thing, so she will be pleased if you see all these important little things and details.

18. Clearly describe everything that is included in your services.

Surely you don't want to defend your job and demand payment after the wedding? To avoid this kind of trouble, contact or personally meet with your clients and very clearly and clearly list the full range of services you provide and their cost. Will the photos be digital only? How many hours do you film? How much does an hour of your work cost? Are you going to film the reception? Are flights paid if the wedding is being played in another country? Do you make wedding albums? Give yourself the answers to all possible questions if you do not want to face the anger of a disgruntled bride in the future.

19. Don't chase quantity.

I often hear aspiring photographers brag about having taken more than 2,000 photographs during a wedding. Each photographer has his own style, I personally prefer to take each shot deliberately, to capture the moment.

20. Remove the wedding venue

The couple chose the location for the wedding not by chance, but because they liked it. Arrive some time before the ceremony so as not to overtake the guests, and take some good pictures of the surroundings to add to your wedding album. Remember, the little things can make a big difference.

21. When photographing the bride and groom on their wedding day, divide the time allotted for the photo session by two

Weddings always start later than the scheduled time. Always. You can take my word for it. If the bride says that they will have an hour to shoot with you, then that means that you will only have half an hour. The time that you spend alone with the bride and groom is priceless, in this half hour you should squeeze out the maximum.

22. Agree whose family will be photographed first

There is nothing worse than a photographer's futile attempts to bring two large families together in one photograph. I like to plan the shooting in detail, so I talk in advance with the bride and groom, whose family I will shoot first. For example, first I call the whole family of the bride, take pictures of all the members together, then they leave, and the family of the groom comes to replace them.

23. Ask the bride to find you a helper

Ask the couple to assign you an assistant who will know everyone invited to the celebration so that you can contact him in case of anything. Such a person is especially useful when shooting formal family portraits, as he can spot the absent. Another plus is that you won't bore the couple.

24. Scotch tape helps

Any trifle can ruin the photo, for example, the groom's pants that are too long. Once I ran into such a problem, and simple scotch tape came to the rescue. Tuck the pants inward and tape them to the inside of the leg.

25. Catch unexpected moments

Always try to capture the unexpected moment. Special moments spent by the bride with her parents or the groom, their emotions and reactions.

26. Let the kids be who they are

Let the kids be kids and you won't regret it. It is with the participation of children that sometimes the best pictures are obtained, but only if you do not ask them to take a certain pose, smile and look at the camera. Give the kids freedom and let them do whatever they want.

27. Imagine this is your wedding

Imagine that you are on your own own wedding! What would you definitely want to capture? Ask yourself this question constantly while shooting.

28. Bring a piece of white paper with you

Often photographers ask the bride and groom to stand in a flower bed, near water and in other unexpected places. Brides do not like to do such things, because they are afraid to get their wedding dress dirty. Be careful and bring a piece of white paper that the bride can stand on to protect her dress. The paper will hide under the hem and no one will notice anything.

29. Stay calm if you want the bride to be calm

Many things can upset or unbalance the bride on such a day, including the apparent incompetence of the photographer, inability to take matters into his own hands. This is a great responsibility, and if you have already taken it upon yourself, then you will see it through to the end.

30. Use the whole environment

I'm a big fan of the so-called framing in photos. A crowd of people out of focus, through which the bride and groom will be visible, can serve as a wonderful framing. This method of shooting makes the viewer feel like a part of what is happening in the photograph. Use windows, architectural structures, plants, people - this will make the picture even more romantic.

31. Get Closer During the Ceremony

During the ceremony itself, try to take a place close to the spouses, so that nothing and no one interferes with you, but you should also not interfere with the guests. Photos with the exchange of rings and a kiss are the most important at the wedding.

32. Talk to the priest

Different churches have different rules regarding photography. In some churches, flash photography is prohibited, and in some, the photographer is only allowed to be in a certain place during the ceremony. Learn all the details in advance.

33. Learn to work competently with natural light

When photographing in natural light, keep the shadows on your face in mind.

34. Make a contract

So much can happen on a wedding day and with wedding photography. Make a contract to protect yourself from potential lawsuits.

35. Get a schedule of important events

The photographer is also a person and may miss some an important event such as throwing a bouquet or cutting a cake. Photographers, as a rule, discuss with the bride and groom when to shoot the newlyweds themselves, but they miss many other important things. This tip is especially useful for solo photographers.

36. Panoramic or cropped pictures?

Ask clients which photos they like best: captivating expansive views or focused on details. It really helps to do the right choice during the shooting of the celebration.

37. Bring a wedding ambulance kit with you

In such a set, I include standard things: pins, ribbons, stain remover, a beautiful wooden hanger for shooting a wedding dress.

38. Three short words

Ask the bride and groom to name three words with which they associate the upcoming wedding ceremony, remember them and try to photograph them. If the client says “fun”, then try to catch funny and funny moments as much as possible, if “romantic”, take pictures of cooing lovers. You are a photographer, and this is their day, so try to display it in your photo in all its glory.

39. Don't Let Religious Differences Affect Filming

Depending on the religion, the traditions of the wedding ceremony can vary greatly. An untrained photographer can simply sit in a puddle. When filming inside a Catholic cathedral, don't be surprised if you're not allowed to use the flash. If you happen to be at a Jewish wedding, then do not miss the moment when the bride breaks the glass. Get to know the traditions, be fully armed.

40. Find out where whose children are

To quote Cheryl Turner: “If the children at the wedding are not the children of the bride and groom, then you shouldn't pay too much attention to them. I now have hundreds of photographs of cousins who carried our wedding rings. The photos are definitely cute, but the photographer would be better off filming the ceremony itself. ”

41. Spend a lot of time with the bride

Sometimes I am amazed at how photographers manage to capture the most insignificant details of the wedding, but at the same time forget about the bride! It's different if you filmed with the bride and groom on a different day.

42. Visit the venue in advance

If you have such an opportunity, visit the wedding venue in advance to inspect the room, to understand from which places will be the most advantageous angles, etc.

43. Remind bridesmaids to smile.

Before the ceremony begins, ask the bridesmaids to smile as they walk down the aisle. You cannot imagine how many weddings I have filmed, the bridesmaids at this crucial moment not only did not smile, but walked with their eyes down and their heads bent down. They just forgot that they were being photographed.

44. Attend a rehearsal

There is nothing to add here, if a rehearsal is being arranged, be sure to visit it.

45. Be confident in the settings

One of the reasons wedding photography is quite difficult is the complete lack of time to delve into camera settings. You have to manage to shoot everything and everywhere, and this requires experience and skill.

46. Bring your props

Depending on the style of the wedding and the preferences of the clients, bring some props with you, for example, an original ring stand, an empty frame, a beautiful hanger to photograph the dress on. This will not only improve the pictures, but also further endear the client to you.

47. Kiss Slowly

The kissing of the bride and groom at the wedding is not very long, the photographer simply does not have time to take a good shot. Ask the couple to kiss a little more slowly, I think they will not mind.

48. Take a picture of the fathers

Vicki Henson: “One of my favorite wedding photos is a photo of my father and father-in-law. They stood outside the church after the ceremony, taking off their tuxedos, and smoking. It was so natural, it felt like they were already relaxed and all the most important things were behind. "

49. Ask the bride

Ask the bride which part of her dress she likes best. Maybe it's a beautiful neckline, belt or train. Ask to take more detailed pictures of the dress.

50. Find out how things are with lighting

If you visit the wedding venue in advance and at the same time of day at which the celebration will be held, then you can understand what equipment will be useful to you. Preparation is the key to success.

51. Quiet shutter release

Many cameras are equipped with a quiet shutter release function. Be sure to use it if you do not want an endless clicking sound when the bride or groom utters the words “I agree / agree”.

52. Take a tripod with you

Portrait photographers rarely use a tripod for this kind of shooting, but a tripod can be very useful if the wedding ceremony takes place in a dimly lit room. A tripod will allow you to shoot at slow shutter speeds without having to increase your ISO.

53. Take a series of black and white pictures

With the permission of the clients, take a series of black and white images from the ceremony, do not miss this opportunity. I love black and white wedding photos graphy for their classic look.

54. Watch out for the train!

Juliana Crin-Goblin: “My wedding photographer did not take off the train of the dress. It's been 16 years now, and I'm still angry about it. ”

55. Come up with new ideas

In addition to the fact that the photographer must be organized and prepared, his ability to come up with different ideas for photos. Implement your spontaneous ideas.

56. Make an investment

Buy an external flash bracket. This is not a useless purchase, the photos will be 10 times better.

57. Find moments to take a break

Allow yourself a few minutes of rest, for example, when everyone is eating. Nobody wants to be filmed with a mouthful of food. During this time, you can review the footage and delete the worst shots to free up some space on the memory card.

58. Constantly look for new non-standard angles

Don't stand still, move! Shoot from a wide variety of angles. Climb higher to take a photo of the guests from above. During the white dance, I make a circle around the couple, then I come a little closer and, taking pictures, make another circle.

59. Take funny shots

Wedding photography doesn't have to be serious. The funny moments captured in the picture, after a while, cause a smile on the face. At the last wedding we made some funny shots: the bride and groom climbed a tree; everyone laughed for a long time.

60. A question worth more than $ 5,000 for advertising

When you see that the bride is delighted with your photos, ask: Is there anyone you know who needs the services of a photographer?

61. Bring a stepladder or step stool with you

Bring a 3-rung stool or small stepladder with you. With their help, you can take good group portraits and use them to photograph the newlyweds throughout the day.

62. Dress appropriately

Having learned in what format the wedding will take place, think over your outfit. Some photographers (for example, David Ziser) wear a tuxedo for every wedding, while others think it is quite appropriate to come in trousers and a shirt. Women photographers also take this issue differently, with some wearing dresses and some wearing jeans and cute polos. In any case, you should think about this in advance.

63. Learn to take everything from natural light

Surely at some weddings you will be lucky to shoot during the so-called golden hour. Take the bride, put her back to the sun. Her veil and dress will shine with a beautiful golden light. Use a reflective surface to fill deep shadows on your face with light.

64. Don't forget about old people

Even the bride and groom, due to an overabundance of emotions and energy, can forget about elderly relatives and guests. But do not lose sight of them for a long time and take pictures from time to time.

65. Find some family members who want to take pictures

Surely among the family members there are those who want to take pictures from your camera. Take this opportunity if you need to go away for a while.

66. Ask the bride to hold the bouquet below

Ask the bride and bridesmaids to keep their bouquets slightly lower, even if it is not very convenient. Bouquets look best if kept at navel level.

67. Don't delay with photos

I love to give away photos immediately after the couple returns from honeymoon... I advise you not to delay the processing and preparation of the album, do not postpone the work on the back burner.

Beautiful photos are what will remind you of your wedding for many years to come. This is joint work photographer, assistant, bride and groom. Everyone is interested in a good result.

Below are some tips to make your wedding photo session the most comfortable, interesting and unique, so that you get a variety of beautiful photos for your wedding album or book.

1. Smile, smile and smile again!

Get ready for the ALL (!) Day you will be in the center of attention not only of your family and friends, but also of camera lenses. The more natural, relaxed and livelier your smiles are, the better. Sincere smiles go to everyone! Practice in front of a mirror at home for a while before your wedding day, if desired.

2. Improvise and feel free, uninhibited.

Try to act naturally and at ease.

3. Try not to slouch during the day.

4. When you kiss, try to close your eyes - in photographs such a kiss looks more romantic, filled with tenderness and love.

5. Try to free yourself as much as possible on this day from organizational work. Involve witnesses, parents or friends. Don't solve problems over the phone. Better yet, turn them off! Today is your day! And this is just your time for a photo shoot! Alas, there will be no other. Every minute is important as an opportunity to make a beautiful and interesting shot.

Photographing the preparation of the bride and groom

The shooting takes place in the place where the bride and groom are preparing: it can be a salon, a hotel or an apartment.

1. Since the space for shooting is limited, try to make it as spacious as possible: remove unnecessary, conspicuous and unrelated items. If it is not possible to prepare the entire apartment for shooting, then you can limit yourself to one room.

2. Try to avoid the hustle and bustle. To do this, distribute in advance who is doing what: who prepares the ransom, who helps you put on a dress and jewelry, who dresses up cars, etc.

3. The accent of this type of shooting is all sorts of wedding details and details: from the bride's shoes to the adornments of her hairstyle (the groom has a tie, cufflinks, boutonniere, etc.).

Photographing during the wedding ceremony

1. The main thing is not to rush. Try to take everything slowly, this will allow the photographer to take as many pictures as possible in order to select the best ones later. Don't turn your back on the photographer.

2. At the entrance to the ceremonial registration hall (meaning the registry office or the venue exit registration) smile and try to look at each other or directly in front of you (not around, and not at the ceiling). A tip for brides is to hold on to the dress so as not to trip over the hem.

3. When signing your marriage certificate, do not lean too low on the table or cabinet. When your half will put the signature, do not forget that you are also in the frame. Smile as you watch your half sign.

4. When putting on your wedding rings, turn your hands towards the photographer. If wedding ring will suddenly put on tighter, do not pay attention to it - smile, continuing to put on the ring.

A staged photo session on a wedding walk

Staged photography is a joint work of a photographer and a newlywed couple. It is necessary to allocate at least 2-3 hours for a full-fledged shooting (excluding the time for movement, embarkation and disembarkation, traffic jams, etc.).

Here are some tips to help your staged walk photo shoot succeed:

1. During your photo session, it is important to keep your guests busy: a buffet table, contests, etc. Warn your friends that you will be away from time to time. If you think in advance about the leisure of your guests, you will be calm, and guests will not feel abandoned, watching from the sidelines of your photo session.

2. Of course, all guests will want to take a photo with you. For this, it is better to set aside a specific time and place. The rest of the time, guests will have fun and admire the beautiful newlyweds.

3. Be sure to plan your walking route. We recommend not to chase the quantity, to limit yourself to 2-3 places, not far from each other. In this case, the opportunity to do a large number of successful shots increases significantly. As a rule, the route is discussed with the photographer in advance (if necessary, on the eve of the wedding, the newlyweds and the photographer visit the places of the planned photo session together).

4. In case of bad weather (rain, strong wind), it is necessary to have several indoor locations in stock. It is also possible to bring some umbrellas with you for you and your guests.

5. If your wedding will take place in winter, you need to take care of warm clothes and shoes in advance. It is also necessary to warn guests about the street walk so that they are prepared for the weather conditions. It is better to transfer the main part of the shooting to the premises: a museum, a cafe, shopping centers and other places with interesting interiors.

Photographing at a banquet

The main part of the banquet is being photographed by the wedding photographer. During the congratulations, the photographer will capture your guests (portrait shooting), and during the dance breaks there is an opportunity to take pictures with those guests who were not on the walk. In this case, be sure to notify the host of your celebration. A small photo session can be held indoors or in the surrounding area. You can also be away from the banquet together with your photographer for 10-20 minutes with your soul mate, but we do not recommend disappearing for a long time. Agree that fun without the bride and groom is "not right". Discuss all the nuances with the photographer and presenter in advance.

When you throw the bouquet (bride) and garter (groom), be sure to warn the photographer - he may be busy at this moment with your guests or, for example, change the battery or flash drive. Just make sure that the photographer is nearby so that such a unique moment is not taken in a hurry.

1. Do not skimp on hair and makeup on this unique day. We advise you to use the services of professionals. Makeup and hair should last until late at night in impeccable condition.

2. Discard shiny makeup (mother of pearl, glitter, etc.). It is not photographic compatible. This also applies to hairspray. In photographs, such glitter will appear as white dots, simply amazingly imitating dandruff scattered over the shoulders and hair.

3. The bride's handbag. Be sure to bring dry wipes, powder (matte!) To eliminate skin shine during the day. Take also lipstick or lip gloss to periodically refresh your makeup.

4. All cosmetic procedures are best done a few days before the wedding, and not on the eve of the celebration. Be sure to use proven products to avoid possible irritations and allergies. Consult your hairdresser and makeup artist, they can also provide useful tips on how to prepare for the wedding the best way... Do not get carried away with solarium or self-tanning. Remember that the groom next to you may look paler than he actually is.

5. Think carefully about your wedding shoes. If you love high-heeled shoes, it's best to bring spare ones with or without a lower heel. 6. If you or your fiance are wearing glasses, we recommend choosing thin lenses for wedding photography without any additional coatings to avoid glare / darkening. If you wear glasses with thick lenses, try to discard them whenever possible when shooting. It is best to replace them with contact lenses or remove them for the duration of the photo session. As beautiful as they are, thick glasses distort facial features.

1. Choose clothes, shoes and accessories with the bride to match the color of your suit and shirt with the color of the bride's dress. And in photos you will look harmonious and elegant. If the wedding day is expected to be hot, take a spare shirt with you: change your clothes before the banquet and you will feel comfortable all evening. If the wedding takes place in winter time, seriously consider a warm T-shirt, vest or thin sweater.

2. On the eve of the celebration, go to bed early. You should look rested and refreshed as you have a long and interesting day ahead.

3. Keep the pockets of your trousers and jacket free, do not fill them with bulky items. It looks ugly in wedding photos. Everything you need can be passed on to the witness or put into the bride's purse - a purse, mobile phone, cigarettes, etc.

4. Many men think they don't need a manicure. However, do not forget that the hands of the newlyweds are the main "heroes" of many photographs (when, for example, you put your signature, put on rings, etc.). And in the background beautiful manicure your bride will look at least not advantageous. Let the wedding photos delight you, and not make you feel awkward because the wedding manicure has not been thought out. It will not be superfluous to think about hair styling. Don't forget this is an important day.

5. And of course, don't forget about the bride. IN wedding dress and on high heels it is not always easy for her to move, her hands are busy with a bouquet, a handbag and a dress. Try to be as attentive as possible, open doors, give your hand. We wish you happy wedding, have a nice photo session and beautiful pictures!

An important point in a wedding event is photographing the entire process. If earlier in the albums of the newlyweds there were only a few photos - a photo of the bride and groom and a group photo with guests, today a professional photographer will beautifully take pictures of the entire wedding, starting with the gathering of the young and ending with the end of the banquet. You just have to choose the type of shooting.

Staged wedding photography

A staged photo session is the most beautiful shots that will take center stage in a wedding album. In this type of shooting, a scenario is planned in advance, where the bride and groom, as well as the guests of the celebration, follow the instructions wedding photographer... Every moment is important, therefore, the perpetrators of this event must create a mood of happiness all day and shine with joyful emotions. What minutes to choose for staged shots? First of all, an exciting morning, when the bride puts herself in order. She does makeup, creates her hair and appears in all her glory in front of her family in a wedding dress. She is ready to conquer everyone with beauty and her eyes shine with joy.

Perhaps the most important moment is the painting of the bride and groom, pronouncing the words of the oath, exchanging rings and kissing. A surge of emotions among the newlyweds and wedding guests is guaranteed - the most touching and sincere photographs are obtained.

The next, almost traditional stage in the wedding ceremony is taking pictures while walking. Newlyweds and guests of the celebration can be captured in beautiful places and near the sights of the city.

And of course the long-awaited banquet - congratulations and toasts, presenting gifts, dances and games. All this creates a special atmosphere in which the main thing is to seize interesting moments, so that the photos turn out to be bright, colorful, filled with emotions.

Reportage wedding photography

This type of shooting is based on the celebration of the holiday without the intervention of the photographer in the procession, i.e. he does not say how to get up, where to turn your head, how to smile. The main task is to capture successful, "live" moments wedding celebration, to experience in practice different angles, to catch the real emotions of people. In order to select successful shots, dozens or even hundreds of them have to be filmed. The main task that reporting shooting solves is to document the chronology of events, to do it so that the viewer seems to be at this event.

Today, all photographers build their work from the combination of these two types of photography to reflect the maximum amount of beauty and authenticity of the wedding.

The article was prepared by a photo studio "Pallada",pallada-photo.ru

- This not just a photographer, but a specialist who must have considerable organizational skills, be stress-resistant, but most importantly be able to shoot in different genres, styles for the time limited by the holiday format. In a way, a wedding photographer is the superman or superwoman in the world of photography.

Portrait wedding photography is photographs showing the newlyweds together or separately from each other, as well as guests at the wedding. When shooting in the photojournalism genre, the wedding photographer will be able to take objective photographs in the correct chronological order, telling about the events taking place at the holiday. For newlyweds who want everything that happens at the holiday to be captured in a photo, it will not be superfluous to order a second photographer, since one may simply not have time to be everywhere at once.

Any more or less wedding photographer is trying to realize his own vision of the holiday, newlyweds in artistic wedding photography. How interesting and acceptable his worldview is, it is up to the future spouses to decide exclusively individually when looking for and choosing a particular wedding photographer. Artistic wedding photography takes a lot of time to frame in accordance with the idea of \ u200b \ u200bthe artist-photographer.

Wedding Photo Documentation, as well as simply documentary, is a genre of photography, designed to convey literally in one frame all the objective depth of the events taking place at a particular time. Neither staging nor serial shooting can achieve this, and no matter how strange it sounds, you just need to be in the right time in the right place and have time to press the button. Therefore, you should not count on documentary wedding photographs, you can only hope that your wedding photographer will be lucky enough to take them.

It is not entirely correct to attribute object and fashion photography to wedding photography, since newlyweds, guests, festive events are important in wedding photography, and not advertising of wedding dresses and accessories.

As for the styles of wedding photography, there are as many photographers as there are ideas.

The following are the most common styles of wedding photos:

Street wedding photography shot in cityscapes, on the streets, on the beach, in parks.

Glamorous wedding photography, which depicts newlyweds in luxurious outfits and expensive interiors. With subsequent painstaking processing in graphic editors with bringing the picture to a premium level.

Fine art - modern style wedding photography. Distinctive feature which is shooting on film in natural light and with the photographer paying attention to the wedding details.

Retro wedding photography... The wedding photographer shoots a couple of newlyweds dressed in a retro style in the appropriate entourage: against the background of an old car, a building and editing the photographs, he brings them to the correspondence of the time.

Rarely, but still occurs wedding photography in fashion style, which takes place in a photo studio, on the catwalk, where the newlyweds act as models, copying their poses and facial expressions.
