Here's a video with detailed analysis knitting leaves

Scheme of leaves with video

Here is a video with knitting such a sweater - size 46, lanagold classic yarn

Well, now, let's get down to the selection of yarn and calculations.
As I see it, this sweater can be knitted from a wide variety of yarns, the main thing is to knit a sample and calculate everything exactly for your yarn, knitting needles and knitting density.

When calculating the amount of sweater needed for this, I started from the information in this post, where the girl has already knitted such a sweater Http://www.stranamam.ru/post/12192503/

So, there was a yarn of 50g - 225m, in two strands, the consumption of 14 skeins (700 grams).
Thus, with a footage of 100 g - 225 m, the total length of the thread is 1575 meters.
Based on this calculation, you canapproximatelyto estimate how much yarn of various sizes we need:
footage 100 g - 175 m (knitting in 1 strand), 50 g - 175 m (knitting in 2 strands) - only 900 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 200 m (knitting in 1 thread), 50 g - 200 m (knitting in 2 threads) - only 800 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 225 m (knitting in 1 strand), 50 g - 225 m (knitting in 2 strands) - only 700 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 250 m (knitting in 1 strand), 50 g - 250 m (knitting in 2 strands) - only 650 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 275 m (knitting in 1 thread), 50 g - 275 m (knitting in 2 threads) - only 600 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 300 m (knitting in 1 thread), 50 g - 300 m (knitting in 2 threads) - only 600 g of yarn
footage 100 g - 450 m (knitting in 2 strands) - only 750 g of yarn

For this sweater I bought Superlambs Special Nako yarn (49% wool 51% acrylic), 100 g - 200 m, the color is like this, 181.

Now calculations

In the photo, the top is my drawingthese are the measurements of the girl on whom the sweater is knitted, size 40-42.
The bottom drawing is already in cm, what a sweater should be, according to my calculations ...

I want to make the elastic band more tight so that it holds a little of the sweater, and it was slouching a little on top. I added 5 cm to the overlap. I calculated the width of the canvas as follows: breast volume + 20% + 2 cm for stitching.
I'm not sure about the neck yet, we will look as we knit.

Now we knit a sample. Girls, I highly recommend doing this! This will help you avoid unnecessary work. Yes, maybe you’re lazy, you don’t want to wait until you knit it, until it dries up ... but have mercy on yourself and your work!

My sample

After we have washed the sample, we steam it (if the yarn allows) and now you can take measurements. I took measurements in a fixed form, as in the photo, that is, I stretched it a little. I was probably lucky with the yarn, because both before and after the second, the sample sizes are the same.

Further, my calculations of the loops, based on the size of the sample and measurements.

Well, now you can start!

At the bottom I will have a rubber band 2 * 2, then a diagram of leaves on a branch of 3 front loops, the leaves will be parallel to each other, I think that it will be possible to accommodate 3 pairs of leaves. Knitting needles for elastic band No. 4, for the main blade No. 5

Based on the available patterns, and knitting in the video above, I made a diagram of the leaf, slightly increasing it. In the diagram, only the front rows, the purl rows are knitted according to the pattern. The second piece is knitted mirror-like.

Here is my beginning. Having linked one rapport of leaves, I measured it, everything fits with my calculations, so I knit further

I immediately knitted one report, after the end of the leaf I began to knit the second, but it seemed to me that they were too wide apart. Therefore, I began to knit the second leaf on the 33rd row of the pattern (the one I drew with a pen). In the end, it turned out what is in the photo, I liked it so much length 27 cm.

That's ready before!
I closed the neck according to the diagram below. Since the neck will be tied with an elastic band, then its depth is suitable, well, as I think

The neck of the back was closed according to the same pattern, only the hinges were closed not so deeply, but higher.

I immediately made the sleeve a straight linen, without expansion, but it did not look very beautiful, and it was cramped. Therefore, I made an extension.

For the sleeve, I cast 32 loops and knitted 13 rows with an elastic band. Then add loops up to 45 (27 - rapport, purl 9 on the sides). And we knit three leaves.
And when the fourth sheet begins, its first row, this will be the first row in the following scheme of increments:

We make increases on both sides (near the edge) in the following rows - 3,7,11,15,19,23,27,31,35,37,39,41. We knit a total of 45 rows and close the loops.

The next stage I had was the WTO. I washed the sweater parts in cold water with shampoo, let the excess water drain off and dried on a horizontal surface. Then I steamed off all the parts, especially the edges, because they will need to be stitched.

Sewing two halves of the hangers on top, I began to tie the neck.

Here are links to very beautiful and neat necks, excellent MK

in this article we will look at the patterns and the process of knitting all kinds of knitted leaves. Openwork or volumetric pattern made of leaves will look great on knitted coat or cardigan, hat or scarf, pullover or poncho.

harmoniously and effectively decorate not only knitted clothes, but also blankets, bedspreads and pillow covers that needlewomen knit for the home.

Having mastered knitting with openwork or volumetric deciduous patterns with knitting needles, needlewomen will be able to decorate with them the most different types clothes, as well as accessories and household items.

- although this pattern requires a scheme, and sometimes detailed description knitting, but is enough simple pattern... Even beginner knitters can master it.

"Oak Leaves"

Pattern rapport - twenty eight pieces horizontally, thirteen - vertically.

The scheme contains cells blue... They are not counted. To the required number of loops per pattern (according to the sample), add two edge loops. The diagram shows both the front and back rows, the calculation of the loops on them and the symbols.

Openwork pattern "leaves"

Report 18 loops and 18 rows. Please note that the diagram contains both front and back rows. Odd - purl, even - facial. Also note that the rows are shown from left to right.

Knitted leaves with needles: openwork pattern for 11 rows

The report includes 12 loops. The diagram shows ONLY front rows. Purl knit according to the pattern.

The pattern requires eleven rows in height. Next is the repetition of the pattern from the first to the eleventh row.

Knitted leaves: embossed branch

Knitted leaves with knitting needles: braid pattern with leaves

The rapport is 16 loops. During operation, the number of loops from row to row will vary.

Knitted leaves with knitting needles: the pattern is repeated from 1-26 rows. Purl rows are knitted according to the pattern.

We also have a good one, perhaps it will be interesting and useful to you.

Fashionable knitted pullover from the autumn-winter collection of 2017 Massimo Dutti (cost 6990 rubles). The pullover is knitted with a pattern of large leaves on the seamy surface.

The original is made from a blended yarn containing 40% cotton, 33% acrylic, 15% wool and 12% alpaca.

Description compiled for size 44-46.

For knitting, you need about 550-600 g of light bulky yarn.

Density of knitting: 12 loops and 20 rows = 10x10 cm after light steam treatment with 6 mm needles.

For knitting you will also need: straight knitting needles 5.5 mm and 6 mm; circular needles 5 mm (40 cm long); auxiliary spoke; marker; knitting needle.

The pullover is knitted in separate pieces, which are then sewn together.

Front

Cast on 61 sts on 5.5mm needles.

2nd row (IS): remove 1 stitches (chrome), * 1 life, 1 person; repeat from * to the last 2 loops, 1 life, 1 person (chrome).

These 2 rows form an elastic band. Tie with an elastic band about 4 cm, ending on the wrong side.

Go to 6mm needles.

Track. setting (LS): remove 1 stitches (chrome), 12 isn, PM, 15 loops of the pattern with leaves, PM, 7 isn, PM, repeat 15 loops of the pattern with leaves, PM, 12 pins, 1 faces (chrome).

Perform 4 repetitions of the leaf pattern. Finish on purl 24 of the pattern.

There will be 26 loops on each side.

Tie the purl row.

Close 2 loops at the beginning of 3 front rows. Tie 2 more rows and close the remaining 20 loops of the right shoulder in the purl row loosely.

WITH seamy side attach the thread from the neck to the left shoulder. Close 2 loops at the beginning of purl 3 rows. Tie 3 more rows and loosely close the loops in the front row.

Back

Cast on 61 stitches on 5.5 mm needles. Tie with an elastic band as in front of about 4 cm, ending in the purl row.

Track. Row (RS): knit first 23 loops, close center 17 loops, knit 23 loops.

Tie the purl row. In the next front row, bind off 3 loops, tie 2 rows and bind off the remaining 20 loops of the left shoulder.

From the seamy side, attach the thread from the neck side to the right side. Close 3 loops, knit a row.

Tie 3 more rows and close the loops loosely in the front row.

Sleeves

On 5.5 mm needles, cast on 29 loops and tie with an elastic band 4 cm, ending on the wrong side.

Continue as set by following the leaf pattern. Add 1 loop on both sides in the 7th row, then in every 10th row 3 times, then in every 8th row 3 times, then in every 6th row 4 times (in total, 11 loops with each side). Finish sleeve on purl 12 of the leaf pattern (widest) = 65 sts. Loosely close the hinges.

Tie the second sleeve in the same way.

Completion

Steam the parts lightly.

Sew shoulder seams.

Neck finishing

WITH front side attach the thread to the left shoulder and on circular knitting needles 4 mm evenly lift 84 loops along the neckline. Place a marker at the beginning and connect the row in a circle. Tie with an elastic band 2 persons, 2 pins about 6-7 cm and close all the loops along the pattern.

Execute side seams and the seams of the sleeves.

Dimensions (edit)

36/38 (40/42 – 44/46)

You need

Yarn (100% wool; 95 m / 50 g) - 600 (650-700) g mustard yellow; knitting needles number 5; circular needles No. 5, 40 cm long; 1 auxiliary spoke; beads, sequins with a diameter of 6 mm and 15 mm and glass beads with a length of 12 mm and 30 mm.

Patterns and schemes

Garter knitting

Knit in rows in forward and backward directions: front and back rows - front loops.

Knitting in a circle: alternately 1 p. front loops, 1 p. purl loops.

Leaves pattern

Knit according to the above scheme in rows in forward and backward directions. Read front rows from right to left. In the purl rows not shown in the diagram, knit the loops according to the pattern, unless otherwise indicated.

In the width on the loops of the scheme, knit 1 time.

In height from the 1st to the 42nd river. perform 1 time, then from the 15th to the 42nd p. repeat 3 times, then perform 1 time from the 15th to the 40th p., while in the last rapport, starting from the 27th, do not start a new motive, but knit on medium 5 points (= 2 ., 1 p. Remove, 2 out.) And perform increments (= knit 1 out of the broach. Crossed loop). On the loops between them, knit with garter stitch.

Attention!
In the 40th p. (= purl row) knit 3 sts together with a tilt to the left, not purl, but front. Knit 3 sts together with a tilt to the left: remove 1 st, as in knitting, knit 2 sts together, then pull the removed loop through the knitted ones.

Knitting density

17 p.x 32 p. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with garter knitting needles No. 5;
from 23rd to 37th sts of the "Leaves" pattern = 13 cm, knitted with needles No. 5.

Pattern

Completing of the work

Back

On needles No. 5, dial 81 (87–93) sts with a double thread and then knit for the lower plank with a single garter stitch, starting from the front row.

After 2.5 cm = 8 p. from the beginning of the garter stitch, continue the work, distributing the loops of the patterns as follows: chrome, 14 (16-18) sts of garter stitch, 23 sts of the "Leaves" pattern, 5 (7-9) sts of garter stitch, 23 sts of the pattern "Leaves", 14 (16-18) p. Garter stitch, chrome.

Through 26 cm = 84 p. from the typesetting row, make on both sides for the armholes according to the mark and continue the work as before (see also the description of the "Leaves" pattern in height).

Through 48 (49–50) cm = 154 (156–160) p. from the typesetting row, close on both sides for the shoulder bevels, first 4 (6-8) p., then in each 2nd p. 6 more times 4 sts each = 25 (27-29) sts.

Simultaneously with the 4th shoulder decrease, leave the middle 19 (21-23) sts for the neckline and finish both sides separately.

To round the neckline, close from the inner edge in every 2nd p. 1 time 2 points and 1 time 1 point (all loops are closed).

Front

Knit like a back, but for a deeper neck, lower the last two motifs in the "Leaves" pattern in the middle and after 46 (47–48) cm = 148 (150–154) p. temporarily leave the average 15 (17-19) p.

Finish both sides separately and to round off the neck, close from the inner edge in each 2nd p. 1 time 2 p. And 3 times 1 p.

Shoulder bevel perform as on the back.

Finish the second side symmetrically.

Sleeves

On needles No. 5, cast on 44 (48–52) sts with a double thread and then knit with a single thread in garter stitch, starting from the front row.

In the 8th p. from the typesetting row, add on both sides for bevels, first 1 p., then in each 8th p. 14 more times 1 p. = 74 (78-82) p.

Through 44 (45–46) cm = 140 (144–148) p. from the dial-up row close all loops in one row.

Knit the second sleeve the same way.

Assembly

Pin the details on the pattern, moisten and leave to dry.

Sew shoulder seams.

On circular knitting needles No. 5, transfer the left 19 (21-23) sts of the back and 15 (17-19) sts of the front and between them along the edge of the neck, dial another 24 sts. = 82 (86-90) sts. Knit in a circle garter stitch inlay and after 3 cm = 9 p. close the hinges.

Sew side seams up to marks. Sew sleeve seams. Sew on sleeves. Fasten the ends of the threads.

Before the pullover, embroider with beads, bugles and sequins, as in the photo or as desired.
