With the New Year holidays approaching, the question arises of how to prepare your child for festive evenings and matinees, namely, to purchase a beautiful fancy dress a princess or prince, and most importantly, a crown or tiara, and maybe a hat. Such an integral attribute as a crown can be easily made with your own hands, using such a beautiful kanzashi technique. But, you will know that your product is original and unique.

Available master class with detailed photos, will give you the opportunity to make a craft for your princess from a small amount of material, and you will also create such beauty in just one evening.

As usual, the master class (mk) begins with cutting the material into squares. In our case, it will be a white and silver ribbon. Place two different squares next to each other and fold them into an eyelet shape. Connect the edges with thread and a needle or use a glue gun. You have created the most important blank, thanks to which the entire crown, and maybe even the kanzashi tiara, will come out.

After you have created all the other petals, we will begin to make rays from them. Put several elements together and glue them together, as shown in the photo. On the sides, stick a couple more petals. Thus, you should end up with a blank consisting of five rays. From such five-pointed blanks, a crown will be formed. So, you'll have to make a few more of these things.

The next stage, which the master class (mk) recommends, is making an original ribbon from satin ribbons. The pattern of its weaving is shown in the photo. Once you have been able to weave it, sew it to a simple headband that will act as a frame for the crown, kanzashi style.

Now, we proceed to gluing three blanks consisting of five-pointed elements and two pairs consisting of three petals. They will be located on the sides.

Look at the photo, this is what the unfinished crown or tiara looks like.

We are coming to the end of the kanzashi lesson. All that remains is to add a few rays on top. By doing this, we will extend the crown upward, and our kanzashi will become much more beautiful.

For addition full image princess or snowflakes, add decorative material that will decorate the crown even more. These can be pearls, beads or dry sparkles.

As you can see, the kanzashi crown is very simple to make, you can involve your daughter in this work. She will be happy to help you with this process and will be proud that she made it with her own hands too. Another option for creating a crown can be seen in the video presented.

As they told me, “Prepare the sleigh in the summer,” so at the request of the craftswomen, I prepared a master class for the New Year’s crown, although it is still September! Later I’ll make a MK of the New Year’s tiara, don’t miss it.

Let's get started.

Let's prepare 5 cm wide ribbons, tools and a headband.

First, let's prepare our base. We take the headband and braid it (MK) or glue a braid of ribbons (MK).

I decided to make the crown from triple petals. I won’t describe how to do it, everything is in my MKs.

We make approximately 18-20 petals.

I do not trim 6 petals very much, but I trim the rest strongly towards the tip of the petal. I do this so that the joints are not visible when gluing between the petals.

In general, what I want to tell you is that the New Year's crown is a flight of fancy. You can glue the petals however you like, creating unusual patterns.

I'll show you the easiest way. I took those same 6 petals and glued them together.

I glue them in the middle of the rim.

Then I glued another petal between the petals.

And I also glued 2 petals on the sides. Level 1 and 2.

I connected 2-3 petals together.

And glued it into the gaps.

The reverse side doesn't look great. We'll figure out how to decorate it.

The design of the petals turned out to be unstable, so I first glued thin cardboard and leveled the crown.

And I glued them in a circle. I carefully close the petals. Sometimes I do without cardboard and cover it right away with leaves, which also works well. This is in cases where the crowns are not high and do not fall in any direction.

The lights are sparkling outside the window, it's time to decorate the Christmas tree, hang garlands and decorations around the house. Approaching magical holiday - New Year.
