The Alexander Nevsky Temple at the Verkhnepyshminsky cemetery did not accommodate everyone who wanted to attend the memorial service. Probably several hundred people came to see off the tragically deceased city dweller on her last journey.

The farewell to Irina Vakhrusheva was scheduled for one o'clock in the afternoon, but people began to flock to the temple much earlier.

Everyone has fresh flowers in their hands, mostly roses, some brought wreaths

From 12.30 two minibuses were delivered from the Kuprit shopping center to the cemetery of caring citizens who wanted to say goodbye.

People crowd around the temple and in the parking lot - they are waiting for the hearse with Irina’s body to arrive.

The coffin is brought into the temple, and the crowd of those who came to say goodbye tries to go inside. Not everyone succeeds: the religious building simply could not accommodate everyone.

Among those gathered were relatives, work colleagues, people with whom Irina studied or once lived in the same yard. Some who came admit: they are here,to see off a stranger to their final journey. The tragedy that occurred in Verkhnyaya Pyshma last weekend became common to most residents of the city, and many of them considered it their duty to say goodbye to their fellow countrywoman and express condolences to Irina Vakhrusheva’s relatives. Moreover, the residents of Verkhnepyshmin helped in the search for the missing girl andorganized a fundraiser for her funeral.

Before the funeral service began, the priest called on everyone to think about their lives and raise their children correctly, explaining to them that murder is a grave sin, and that they should never do the same. Even in my thoughts.

“A person should die of infirmity and old age, and not at 30 years old, young and healthy, and even so tragically. For such sloppiness that that man did to Irina, it must be destroyed publicly, in front of everyone, for example, in the square. Even though I am a clergyman, I am sure that goodness must come with fists. Let’s hope that at least the Lord will forgive her killer for his recklessness,” said the priest from the Alexander Nevsky Church and offered to pray for Irina.

During the funeral service, many could not hold back their tears. The funeral service lasted about 20 minutes; for another half hour, relatives, friends and simply caring residents of Verkhnepyshmina said goodbye to the deceased young mother.

“She lies there like a sleeping beauty,” said the girl who came out of the temple, barely holding back tears.

Those who have already said goodbye leave the temple and wait on the street: men gather in silent groups, women stand aside and wipe away their tears.

Someone aside is whispering And . Elderly women, holding wreaths, are talking about the progress of yesterday's trial, which took place in Verkhnyaya Pyshma and the alleged killer of Irina Vakhrusheva.

“He's crazy, . If only the further court would take into account all the circumstances, after all,” the townspeople sigh.

Those close to the family are discussing the eve of the incident: they say that before the incident, 30-year-old Irina Vakhrusheva quarreled with her partner. By the way, the man was present at the farewell; the funeral itself, according to distant relatives, was organized by the aunt of the deceased young woman.

Most of all those who came to say goodbye discussed the weather: instead of snow and rain, the sun was shining

Butterflies fluttered over wreaths and bouquets of fresh flowers.

After farewell, the funeral procession, accompanied by the ringing of bells, moved along the main alley of the Verkhnepyshminsky churchyard towards the grave of Irina Vakhrusheva. She will be buried next to her brother and father.

In Verkhnyaya Pyshma on Monday, April 17, a suspect in the murder of 30-year-old Irina Vakhrusheva was detained. In the near future, the court will choose a preventive measure for him. We publish the entire chronology of events known to date.

It all happened last Saturday, April 15th. 30-year-old Irina Vakhrusheva, young and beautiful woman, in the evening I made an appointment with a friend who lives literally a few houses away. At about 20.00 Irina went to visit, but never made it to her friend. No one saw Irina alive again.

Irina did not reach her friend. At that moment, when the girl was moving towards her friend’s house, she was talking to her on the phone. Suddenly the connection was abruptly cut off. The friend became agitated, and that same evening, Irina’s common-law husband filed a complaint with the police.

Irina’s relatives the next day through search teams in social networks asked for help in finding her. As special features of Irina, it was stated that she has a tattoo between her shoulder blades and a piercing in her nose. She was wearing a black jacket with a hood, black boots, blue jeans and had a black bag with her.

Based on the fact, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”).

Meanwhile, the police did not sleep and already on the night of April 17 found the suspect, a 34-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg, who works as a turner and had previously been imprisoned for rape. As AiF-Ural noted in the Investigative Committee, the man first began to deny his guilt. But in the end he wrote a confession.

On the same day, the rapist indicated where he hid the body of 30-year-old Irina Vakhrusheva and during the investigative measures, completely hiding his face from the public, he pointed out to the investigators all the circumstances of the attack on the girl on the evening of April 15.

At the moment when Irina left the house on Uralskikh Rabochy Street, 46, and was talking on the phone with a friend, a man attacked her. According to investigators, the 34-year-old turner grabbed the girl and dragged her to the basement of a nearby building. This is a house on Uralskikh Rabochy Street 46A. The door to the basement was closed, and the rapist threatened his victim with a knife, then used a stun gun and raped him on the staircase at the entrance to the basement.

After committing the crime, the repeat offender killed his victim and dragged her corpse into the trunk of his Renault Logan car, and then took it to the 329th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg-Serov highway, where he got rid of the girl’s body, burying it in the ground along with personal belongings. After that, he calmly went home, having previously hidden the knife in one of the garden houses.

At the moment, investigators are establishing the exact motives for the murder of the girl and are looking into the issue of giving a legal assessment in connection with the rape of the victim in order to bring charges under this criminal article.

“In the future, taking into account all the circumstances of the crime, the issue of bringing appropriate charges against the detainee will be decided. Also, in the near future, the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention will be considered against the attacker,” senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the ICR for Sverdlovsk region Alexander Shulga.

The deceased Irina Vakhrusheva left behind a five-year-old child.

To cover your tracks.

"Uralinformburo" became aware of the terrible details of the bloody massacre of 30-year-old resident of Verkhnyaya Pyshma Irina Vakhrusheva. As it turned out, the criminal violated the body after the murder in order to cover his tracks.

According to the case file, on the evening of April 15, 2017, Alexei Falkin, accused of committing a crime, drove around Yekaterinburg for a long time in search of a victim to rape. However, he did not come across any single women on the way, and he went to Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

The man practically did not know the city and drove around the central streets. On one of them, he noticed Irina, who was visiting a friend with a bottle of wine. As a source close to the investigation told Uralinformburo, Falkin parked and approached the woman to say hello. Irina pulled away from him and moved on. This made the man angry. He waited until there were no people nearby and caught up with her. Threatening with a knife, the rapist dragged the victim to the basement.

Passed by elderly woman. Irina, in order to scare away the rapist, shouted to her: “Mom!”, but the pensioner did not react. In addition, a man noticed the strange couple, but he decided that it was a family squabble and did not interfere.

Having dragged Irina to the basement, the man began to rape her. At this time, the woman’s phone rang. She managed to pick up the phone and shout to her friend that she needed help. Falkin broke the phone in rage. Irina managed to grab a bottle of wine that she had with her - she hit the man on the head twice, but he didn’t even stagger.

Deciding to cover his tracks, he wiped the girl’s mouth with his hand and cut out her genitals, putting them in a bag.

In a frenzy, the accused stabbed the victim about 40 times. He then ran to look for a car to load the corpse into. Deciding to cover his tracks, he wiped the girl’s mouth with his hand and cut out her genitals, putting them in a bag.

When the man was leaving the yard, he turned for help to a passing group of three people, asking them for directions. The young people exchanged phone numbers with the rapist, just in case.

The criminal took the corpse to the forest in the area of 329 kilometers of the Serovsky tract and buried it. He hid the bag with the genitals and the knife in another place, and washed the blood-stained rug.

The next day he received a call from a young man with whom he exchanged phone numbers. He reported that his girlfriend had disappeared and asked if Falkin had seen anything suspicious. He answered negatively.

It was possible to trace the accused thanks to external CCTV cameras. During the inspection, law enforcement officers noticed that the driver of one of the cars was unable to park for a suspiciously long time.

The police rang the number in the database and arrived at Falkin’s home. He denied any involvement in the murder. While checking the trunk of his car, the security forces lifted a rug lying there and found traces of flowing blood under it. The man was immediately detained and an investigative experiment was conducted.

He later confessed to 11 more crimes - rape and murder. As the Uralinformburo source noted, Falkin pretends that he has mental problems in order to end up in a mental hospital instead of a colony. A forensic examination will show whether he will be able to avoid prison.

Ecuadorian authorities have denied Julian Assange asylum at the London embassy. The founder of WikiLeaks was detained by British police, and this has already been called the biggest betrayal in the history of Ecuador. Why are they taking revenge on Assange and what awaits him?

Australian programmer and journalist Julian Assange became widely known after the website WikiLeaks, which he founded, published secret documents from the US State Department in 2010, as well as materials related to military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But it was quite difficult to find out who the police, supporting by the arms, were leading out of the building. Assange had grown a beard and looked nothing like the energetic man he had previously appeared in photographs.

According to Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno, Assange was denied asylum due to his repeated violations of international conventions.

He is expected to remain in custody at a central London police station until he appears at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Why is the President of Ecuador accused of treason?

Former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa called the current government's decision the biggest betrayal in the country's history. “What he (Moreno - editor’s note) did is a crime that humanity will never forget,” Correa said.

London, on the contrary, thanked Moreno. The British Foreign Office believes that justice has triumphed. The representative of the Russian diplomatic department, Maria Zakharova, has a different opinion. “The hand of “democracy” is squeezing the throat of freedom,” she noted. The Kremlin expressed hope that the rights of the arrested person will be respected.

Ecuador sheltered Assange because the former president had left-of-center views, criticized U.S. policies and welcomed WikiLeaks' release of secret documents about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even before the Internet activist needed asylum, he managed to personally meet Correa: he interviewed him for the Russia Today channel.

However, in 2017, the government in Ecuador changed, and the country set a course for rapprochement with the United States. The new president called Assange “a stone in his shoe” and immediately made it clear that his stay on the embassy premises would not be prolonged.

According to Correa, the moment of truth came at the end of June last year, when US Vice President Michael Pence arrived in Ecuador for a visit. Then everything was decided. “You have no doubt: Lenin is simply a hypocrite. He has already agreed with the Americans on the fate of Assange. And now he is trying to make us swallow the pill, saying that Ecuador is supposedly continuing the dialogue,” Correa said in an interview with the Russia Today channel.

How Assange made new enemies

The day before his arrest, WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristin Hrafnsson said that Assange was under total surveillance. “WikiLeaks uncovered a large-scale espionage operation against Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy,” he noted. According to him, cameras and voice recorders were placed around Assange, and the information received was transferred to the Donald Trump administration.

Hrafnsson clarified that Assange was going to be expelled from the embassy a week earlier. This did not happen only because WikiLeaks published this information. A high-ranking source told the portal about the plans of the Ecuadorian authorities, but the head of the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry, Jose Valencia, denied the rumors.

Assange's expulsion was preceded by the corruption scandal surrounding Moreno. In February, WikiLeaks published a package of INA Papers, which traced the operations of the offshore company INA Investment, founded by the brother of the Ecuadorian leader. Quito said it was a conspiracy between Assange and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and former Ecuadorian leader Rafael Correa to overthrow Moreno.

In early April, Moreno complained about Assange's behavior at Ecuador's London mission. “We must protect the life of Mr. Assange, but he has already crossed all boundaries in terms of violating the agreement that we came to with him,” the president said. “This does not mean that he cannot speak freely, but he cannot lie and hack.” ". At the same time, back in February last year it became known that Assange at the embassy was deprived of the opportunity to interact with the outside world, in particular, his Internet access was cut off.

Why Sweden stopped its prosecution of Assange

At the end of last year, Western media, citing sources, reported that Assange would be charged in the United States. This was never officially confirmed, but it was because of Washington’s position that Assange had to take refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy six years ago.

In May 2017, Sweden stopped investigating two rape cases in which the portal’s founder was accused. Assange demanded compensation from the country's government for legal costs in the amount of 900 thousand euros.

Earlier, in 2015, Swedish prosecutors also dropped three charges against him due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

Where did the investigation into the rape case lead?

Assange arrived in Sweden in the summer of 2010, hoping to receive protection from American authorities. But he was investigated for rape. In November 2010, a warrant was issued for his arrest in Stockholm, and Assange was put on the international wanted list. He was detained in London, but was soon released on bail of 240 thousand pounds.

In February 2011, a British court decided to extradite Assange to Sweden, after which a number of successful appeals followed for the WikiLeaks founder.

British authorities placed him under house arrest before deciding whether to extradite him to Sweden. Breaking his promise to the authorities, Assange asked for asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy, which was granted to him. Since then, the UK has had its own claims against the WikiLeaks founder.

What awaits Assange now?

The man was re-arrested on a US extradition request for publishing classified documents, police said. At the same time, Deputy Head of the British Foreign Ministry Alan Duncan said that Assange would not be sent to the United States if he faced the death penalty there.

In the UK, Assange is likely to appear in court on the afternoon of April 11. This is stated on the WikiLeaks Twitter page. British authorities are likely to seek a maximum sentence of 12 months, the man's mother said, citing his lawyer.

At the same time, Swedish prosecutors are considering reopening the rape investigation. Attorney Elizabeth Massey Fritz, who represented the victim, will seek this.
