How to knit a soft monkey with knitting needles

Head

To knit a monkey's head, cast on 6 stitches on knitting needles and then knit according to the description given below.

At the end of knitting, leave a large tail of yarn, thread it through the needle and pull it through the six remaining loops. Next, folding both sides towards each other, we sew the head.

Leave a small hole and fill the head with filler.

Torso

We put 15 loops on the knitting needles and knit according to the description.

At the end of knitting, do not close the loops. Leave a tail of thread about 30 cm long, thread it through the needle and thread it through the remaining loops, pulling it tight.

We sew the body along the entire length, leaving a small hole at the end for stuffing.

We fill the body with holofiber.

Hands

We put 13 loops on the knitting needles and knit from rows 1 to 3 in stockinette stitch, starting from the purl row. In the 4th row, knit 1, increase, knit 8, increase, knit 1. (15p). Next, from rows 5 to 45 in stockinette stitch. Now change the color of the thread to beige and knit 58 rows in stockinette stitch. In the 59th row we knit 2 stitches together with the front stitch x 7 times. We cut the thread, thread it through the needle, thread it through the remaining loops, pull it tightly and sew up the arms along the entire length.

We stuff our hands with holofiber.

Legs

We cast on 9 loops on the knitting needles with a thread of the main color. Following the description, we will knit two legs for our monkey.

At the end of knitting, close all the loops.

We sew 14 loops closed in the middle of the knitting on the leg to form the foot.

We stuff the legs with holofiber.

Ears

We put 9 loops on the knitting needles with a thread of the main color.

Monkey face

We cast on 12 stitches with a beige thread using no knitting needles.

We close all the loops and get a muzzle.

Tummy

We cast on 12 loops on the knitting needles with a beige thread and then continue knitting according to the pattern.

Ponytail

We put 8 loops on the knitting needles with a thread of the main color and knit 80 rows in stockinette stitch. In the 81st row we knit 2 stitches together with the front stitch x 4 times. Next, cut the thread, thread it through the needle, pass it through the remaining loops, and tighten. Sew the tail along the entire length.

Assembly

We sew the head to the body.

….and legs.

We sew the muzzle to the head, leaving a small hole for stuffing.

We stuff the face with holofiber and sew up the hole.

We sew the ears.

Sew the ears on the sides of the head.

We sew the belly in the center of the body.

We embroider a navel on the belly, glue eyes above the face, and sew on a tail.

The monkey is ready!

How to knit a monkey

We owe the symbolism of the coming new year 2016 to the Chinese, because thanks to their calendar, once every twelve years we meet the spirit of a new animal in our homes. And this year was no exception! What kind of monkey is she? Each animal has its own character and characteristics, which clearly affects people's lives this year.

The color corresponding to the monkey is red, as the year of the fire monkey is approaching. Therefore, her character is appropriate: she is characterized by changeability, temper, playfulness, fun and much more. I bring to your attention a very beautiful monkey, a cheerful monkey, who also meets all the previously listed qualities. Only the color is close to red, a brown monkey, with playful eyes in overalls and a hat.

Knitting density: in a standard square pattern with a side of ten centimeters, there are twenty-six loops for thirty-six rows.

What do we need:

  • Yarn "Pekhorka. Cool" half cotton, half viscose. One hundred grams are two hundred and eighty meters. One ball of chocolate color, one ball of milky color, the rest of green yarn
  • decorative eyes
  • knitting needles number three
  • scissors
  • padding polyester or any filler that is convenient and familiar for work
  • hook number three
  • measuring tape
  • decorations or decorative items for a knitted monkey, for me it’s overalls and a hat
  • pattern

Main pattern: face stitch, in which all the front loops are knitted in the front row, and purl loops are performed in the back row.

Torso

One piece is required. To begin with, on knitting needles number three, cast on twelve loops with chocolate-colored thread and knit two rows with the main pattern.

Third row : we begin the increases as follows: we knit a loop behind the front wall, and then behind the back wall to the end of the row, thus getting twenty-four loops.

Fourth row: we knit without changes with the main pattern.

Fifth row: again you need to add twelve loops in a row. We do it this way: we knit a front loop, then a loop behind the front wall, and then behind the back, continue alternating this combination until the end of the row and get thirty-six loops.

Sixth row: We also knit the next two rows using stockinette stitch without any changes.

Ninth row: which is the third row of increments, in this row, as in subsequent incremental rows, we will again add twelve stitches evenly as we knit. So, having knitted the front loop, we make an increase in the previously known way, then the front loop again, continue to the end of the row and get forty-eight loops.

Tenth row - thirty first row: knit with the main pattern.

Thirty-second row: we form the waist line. To do this, we decrease the loops in the row like this: we knit one knit stitch, then two loops together, again a knit loop, alternate until the end of the row and thirty-six loops remain on the knitting needles.

Thirty-third row - sixtieth row: We do all the knitting according to the main pattern, do not forget that in the purl row there are corresponding loops.

Sixty-first row: To form the chest line we make decreases. Having knitted four knit stitches in a row, knit two loops together, then seven knit stitches in a row, again two knit loops together, two knit loops. We repeat this combination twice and complete the row with two knit stitches. There should be thirty-two stitches left on the needles at the end of the row.

Sixty-second row: knit with stockinette stitch.

Sixty-third row: We start knitting a row with four front rows, then we knit two loops together with a tilt to the left, then five front loops are replaced by knitting two loops together, followed by two front loops. We repeat this combination of loops twice again and at the end of the row two facial loops follow each other. At the end of the decreases, there were twenty-eight loops in the row.

Sixty-fourth row: knit again with the main pattern.

Sixty-fifth row: Having knitted four knit stitches, we make the first decrease in the row by knitting two loops together, then we knit three knit stitches in a row, again decrease in the form of two loops knitted together, then two knit stitches. Repeat this combination twice and finish the row with two knit stitches. It turns out that twenty-four loops remain in the row.

Sixty-sixth row: again a row without changes in the form of a row of purl loops.

Sixty-seventh row: and this is the fourth decreasing row. We start knitting a row with four knit stitches, then two knit stitches together, one knit stitch, then two knit stitches together and two knit stitches. We repeat all this twice and knit two knit stitches at the end of the row. We get twenty loops.

Sixty-ninth row: final decreasing row. Still starting with four knit stitches, then slip one loop, knit two loops together, and then pull the resulting loop through the removed loop. Then follow two loops together and two knit stitches. We also repeat this combination twice and complete the row with two knit stitches. Thus obtaining sixteen loops.

Seventieth row: We knit all the loops in the row with purl loops. Then close all the loops and cut the thread.

Head

One detail is needed. The beginning is similar to knitting the torso. To begin with, we also cast on twelve loops with chocolate thread on knitting needles number three.

First row: We immediately begin to make increases. Having knitted the front loop, we make an increase by knitting the thread first behind the front wall, and then behind the back wall. We repeat the increase four times in a row, then knit two knit stitches and again increase four times in a row. At the end of the row we knit one front loop and get twenty loops.

Second row: and the subsequent odd rows we knit according to the main pattern with purl loops.

Third row: one front loop is replaced by a combination of an increase, as described previously, and a front loop, this combination is repeated four times in a row. Then we knit two knit stitches and again we repeat the previous combination of increase and knit stitch four times. At the end of the row, knitting a front loop, we get twenty-eight loops.

Fourth row: and we knit seven more subsequent rows with the main pattern.

Twelfth row: we knit six knit stitches, then increase the loop and repeat all this twice. Then we repeat the combination of twelve knit stitches and increase twice. Having knitted six facial loops, at the end of the row we get thirty-two loops.

Fourteenth row: We start by knitting six knit stitches, then knit a combination of increase and knit stitch, which we repeat twice. Then, having knitted twelve loops, we repeat the previous combination twice again. The end of the row will be six facial loops. Thus, we received thirty-six loops.

Sixteenth row: we already knit seven knit stitches, then increase and knit two knit stitches, repeat twice, starting with the increase. We knit twelve loops and alternate double increase and two facial loops. At the end of the row, knitting five facial loops, we get forty loops.

Eighteenth row: We start knitting with seven knit stitches, then repeat the combination of increase and three knit stitches twice. We knit twelve knit stitches, repeat the combination with an increase and three knit stitches twice. Again at the end of the row there are five knit stitches, knitting which we got forty-four loops.

Twentieth row: final increment row. We knit eight knit stitches, repeat the sequence of increase and four knit stitches twice. We knit twelve knit stitches and again repeat the alternation of increase and four knit stitches twice. At the end of the row, knitting four facial loops, we get forty-eight loops.

Twenty-second row: initial row of decreasing stitches. Repeat until the end of the row the following combination of stitches: one knit stitch, two loops together, knit stitch again. We get thirty-six loops at the end of the row.

Twenty-third row: and knit the next two rows with stockinette stitch.

Twenty-sixth row: we knit the front loop and two loops together, and then repeat to the end of the row, thus getting twenty-four loops on the knitting needles.

Twenty-eighth row: repeat until the end of the row of knitting two loops together. We get twelve loops at the end of the row. We close all the loops, cut the thread and fasten it.

Face

We knit one piece. On knitting needles number three, cast on ten loops with milky yarn and knit four rows with the main pattern.

Fifth row: we add one loop at the beginning and at the end of the row, knitting the front loop in the first and last loop, first behind the front wall, and then behind the back wall.

Sixth row: and knit the next two rows with stockinette stitch.

Repeat the last four rows again, that is, from the fifth row to the eighth row inclusive, we get fourteen loops.

Muzzle

You will also need one part. We cast on thirty-two loops onto the knitting needles with a milky thread and knit five rows with the main pattern.

Seventh row: Having knitted one front loop, we repeat the combination of one front loop and two loops knitted together, until the last front loop, which we simply knit.

Eighth row: like all odd rows, they consist of purl loops.

Ninth row: We repeat knitting one front loop and two loops, which we knit together until the last loop, which we knit with a front loop. Thus, at the end of the row we get twelve loops.

We cut the thread, pull it through the loops and tighten it tightly.

Ears

Now we need to connect the two ears. On knitting needles number three, cast on seven stitches with a light-colored thread and knit two rows in stockinette stitch.

Third row: We make an increase in each loop until the end of the row, in which we should get twelve loops.

Fourth row - sixth row: knit with the main pattern.

Seventh row - eighth row: We knit all the loops.

Ninth row: We knit two loops together with a knit stitch until the end of the row. In this row we get seven loops, cut the thread, pass through the loops and tighten, then fasten the thread.

Upper limbs

We knit two parts. Using a chocolate-colored thread, cast on six stitches on number three knitting needles and knit two rows with the main pattern.

Third row: We add one loop at the end and at the beginning of the row, using the already familiar and previously described method.

Fourth row - sixth row: knit in stockinette stitch. Repeat the last four rows, that is, from the third row to the sixth row, inclusive, two more times. We get twelve loops.

Fifteenth row and sixteenth row: We knit all the stitches, making an increase at the beginning of the row, in the middle of the row and at the end of the row. At the end we get eighteen loops.

Seventeenth row: We also perform the next eleven rows according to the basic pattern.

Twenty-ninth row: Having knitted six facial loops, we repeat twice a sequence of two loops knitted together and four facial loops. And we get sixteen loops. Next, we knit nine rows in stockinette stitch without changes.

Thirty-ninth row: we knit five knit stitches, and then repeat twice the combination of two loops knitted together and three knit stitches, knit the last loop and get fourteen loops at the end of the row. Next follow seven rows with the main pattern.

Next, change the thread and knit two rows in stockinette stitch. Next, cast on six stitches at the beginning of the next two rows to form the thumb. There should be twenty-six loops. Next we knit two rows in stockinette stitch. We close four loops at the beginning of the next two rows and get eighteen loops. Then two rows with the main pattern.

We begin to knit the fingers of the hand. We knit two knit stitches, make one increase, then one knit stitch and repeat the increase twice. We knit three front loops and make an increase, then unfold the knitting and knit on these fifteen loops.

Little finger , knitting of which we start from the wrong side, so first we knit six purl loops. We unfold the knitting and continue knitting only on six loops. We knit five rows with the main pattern. We cut the thread, pass the end of the thread through the loops on the knitting needle, tighten the loops, and secure the thread.

Ring finger for the formation, which we return to the loops on the right needle, of which there should be nine. We tie a milky thread for work and start knitting from the front loop, then we make one loop increase from seven loops on the left knitting needle. Next, turn the knitting over and work with this number of loops. In the next row of forming the ring finger, we knit six purl loops, then turn the knitting and work with the given number of loops. Knit seven rows in stockinette stitch, then cut the thread, pass its end through all six loops, tighten and fasten.

Middle finger not much different in execution from the other fingers. But to knit it, you need to attach a thread to six loops from the right knitting needle. Next, having knitted one front loop, we make an increase of five loops and knit the remaining five loops on the left knitting needle. Turn the knitting over and knit only on these loops, of which there should be nine. In the next row we knit six purl loops, turn the knitting over and continue working with only six loops. We knit another eight rows with the main pattern and close the loops, pulling the thread through them, fasten the thread.

For index finger attach a thread to the existing three loops on the right knitting needle and knit loops from the left knitting needle, thus obtaining six loops. In the next row we purl all six loops. Next, we work with the given number of loops over eight rows, then close them, pulling the thread, securing it.

Lower limbs

Two details will need to be completed. On number three knitting needles, using chocolate-colored thread, cast on sixteen stitches. We knit ten rows with the main pattern.

Eleventh row: We begin to add loops to form a beautiful femoral line. To do this, having knitted four knit stitches, we repeat the combination of increase and five knit stitches twice. We get eighteen loops in a row. We knit another nine rows in stockinette stitch.

Twenty first row: we knit four loops, then alternate twice alternately one increase and six facial loops. There should be twenty loops in the row. We knit nine rows again with the main pattern. Thus, adding two loops in every tenth row.

Thirty-first row: Having knitted five knit stitches, we make an increase, then we knit seven knit stitches, we make an increase again, and we complete the row by knitting the six loops remaining on the knitting needle. This makes twenty-two loops. Again we knit nine rows in stockinette stitch.

Forty first row: We start knitting a row with five knit stitches, then increase a loop, knit eight knit stitches, repeat adding a loop and at the end of the row we knit seven knit stitches. This makes twenty-four stitches in a row. Then we knit thirteen rows with knit and purl stitches, according to the planned pattern.

Next, cast off three stitches at the beginning of the next two rows, leaving eighteen stitches. Next, we decrease one loop at the beginning and end of the third row, knitting two loops together. In the next row, purl all the stitches. Next, we repeat the last two rows three times and get ten loops on the knitting needles. Then we knit two rows, making decreasing loops at the beginning and end of each row. It turns out six loops, close all the loops, pulling a thread through them, which we then fasten.

Foot

Steam room detail. On knitting needles number three, cast on fourteen stitches with a milky thread, knit two rows in stockinette stitch.

Third row: adding loops. We add a loop, knit four knit stitches in a row, increase again, one knit stitch and repeat all this twice, getting eighteen loops on the knitting needles. Next, we knit five rows with the main pattern. We cast on four loops at the beginning and at the end of the next two rows for knitting the thumb, there should be twenty-six loops. Knit all the toes in exactly the same way as the fingers.

Tail

On number three knitting needles, using chocolate-colored thread, cast on ten stitches and knit thirty rows. Next, cut the thread, pass through all the loops and tighten tightly, fasten the thread.

Assembling the monkey

All parts must be sewn together with a mattress stitch, using a needle with a thick eye. Or join the seams with a crochet hook. When making toys, I recommend using a needle, then the seams look more aesthetically pleasing and neat.

So, a little about the mattress seam, for those who are not familiar with it.

Place the two parts that you are going to connect next to each other so that the future connection points are parallel to each other. The parts must be placed face up. Grab the cross thread between the first and second loops of one of the rows. And on the second part, grab the first and second transverse threads of the product and sew. Repeat this manipulation, turning the product from the front side to the wrong side and back. All parts must be filled tightly with filler.

Pull the body along the lower loops and sew a seam to the waist, then stuff it, continue sewing the edge, gradually stuffing the toy. We begin to sew the head, from top to bottom, gradually stuffing. Next, sew the head to the body; after making the side seams on the limbs, they should be sewn to the body. Also sew the tail in its proper place. After connecting the main part of the toy, we move on to decorating it. We sew on eyes - beads or glue ready-made purchased eyes, do not forget that you need to sew on the head the front part on which the eyes and muzzle are attached, which we also stuff with filler. We make a decorative seam in place of the mouth. Sew the ears to the head. We make the nose at your discretion; you can designate the nose with a button, bead or other objects.

Or you can knit a triangle and secure it to the muzzle as shown in one of the pictures.

Clothes and accessories for your monkey can also be very different, you don’t have to rely on my version, you can knit a monkey - a girl and dress her in an elegant, hand-sewn dress or dress her up in an old doll outfit. You can make a cylinder out of black cardboard and you will end up with a gallant gentleman. In general, it’s up to everyone here, as they say, so I’m not posting a knitting pattern for an outfit for the monkey. All the best and warm wishes to you in the new year! Let your monkey be the most cheerful and cheerful. Good luck in everything!

Knitting magazine Little Diana special issue No. 2 2016

Those who are interested in astronomy, and simply lovers of knitted toys, are offered a symbol of the coming year - a crocheted monkey. This craft is made using the technique amigurumi , essentially a small crocheted toy. The monkey is created according to the scheme, and even beginners will not have any difficulty in making this one for themselves using the presented master class charmer.

Breast

With a light thread, 2 airs and 6 columns without yarn overs . Next, to increase the circle, increments are made from the 2nd row, where 6 loops are added. In the 3rd row there are 4, in the 4th there are already 6 increases, also in the 5th and 6th tiers.

The breast module is sewn to the body with light threads.

Head

The coffee thread forms the center, similar to the first two modules, of 2 air .p. and 6 columns without yarn overs . Increases in the 2nd row of 6 loops, in the 3rd row of 4 stitches, then the 4th row. adds 6, in the 5th there are already 8 increases. The subsequent 6th, 7th and 8th, 6 increases each. In the 9th row there are only 2 additions, and in the 10th row there are 8.

And in the 24th tier, 15 loops are immediately decreased, in the 25th - 10, after which the volume of the head is filled with filler. The decrease continues in the 26th row - 9 stitches, and in the 27th - final row - 6 decreases . The thread is secured and cut.

Muzzle

The muzzle module is made of 2 identical parts with a light thread, which are superimposed on each other with an offset. Set also of 2 air loops and 6 sc . Add 6 loops in the 2nd row, 4 in the 3rd row. in the 4th, 5th and 6th tiers - 6 additions each. In the 7th row there is an increase of 4 loops. 8th row final knitted without changes.

Eyes are attached to one of the parts, then the muzzle is sewn to the head, for greater expressiveness facial expressions are embroidered: eyebrows, mouth, nostrils.

Ears

Two parts of the ears are made in a dark shade. The set also consists of 2 air . loops and 6 columns without yarn overs . Further, according to the increase scheme - in the 2nd row - 6, in the 3rd - 4, in the 4th - 2 additions. There are 6 increments in the final 5th. The thread does not break, it is for sewing to the head.

Light details, also in the amount of 2 pieces, are initially collected from 2 air stitches and 6 sc . Then in the 2nd row 6 are added, and in the 3rd - 4 loops.

Now the head and body of the toy are connected in the MK.

Legs

Continuing the master class, the soles of the legs are made of light thread, a set of 2 air . loops and 6 columns without yarn over . In the 2nd and 3rd rows 6 loops are added, in the 4th row 4 are added. In the 5th row, knitted without changes, 22 loops are obtained. Next, the top of the foot and the entire leg are knitted with a dark thread.

In the 6th tier, 1 chain stitch is performed and 2 loops are added in a circle. 7th circle knitted no increases. In the 8th row, 6 loops are decreased, in the 9th there are only 2. The foot is filled with padding, then we knit the length of the leg - 10-22 rows without changing the number of loops.

The description of the second leg is not given in the master class, since it is made similarly to the first, and then both of them are attached to the body.

Hands

Handle modules are made with the main color of yarn, 2 are also typed air . p. and 6 sc . Next is the 2nd row with increases of 6 loops, 3rd row. – 2 increments, 4th – 4th. The height of the arm is gained from the 5th to the 20th rows, which knitted without changes.

The handles are filled with stuffing, the holes are sewn up and attached to the body.

Tail

The tail module is not stuffed, and in the given MK it is the easiest to manufacture.

2 air stitches are typed, and 6 columns without yarn over knit into the second loop from the hook. Subsequent tiers 2-25 are performed without increments and decreases . The thread remains for sewing to the monkey's body.

Greetings, dear friends and guests of the blog “We Create - Don’t Be Lazy.” Today on the agenda is another knitted monkey. I named her Monya, although the toy looks more like Alpha, remember that series about an alien? Unlike, we will knit this monkey both with knitting needles and crochet. In addition, using this toy as an example, we will consider one of the types of thread fastening of parts.

This is, so to speak, a soft mount (remember, it was hard)

This thread fastening is stronger than. Our monkey can be tortured as much as you like, and nothing will fall off of her, and this is, perhaps, her main advantage.

Toys of this kind are called chatterboxes... Because their arms and legs dangle freely...

The introductory part is over - let's get down to business!

Knitted monkey - materials:

  • Yarn “Grass” - 50g. (dark beige color)
  • Yarn “Blues” - 50g. (beige color to match the grass, but lighter or darker as you like)
  • Hook No. 2
  • Knitting needles No. 2
  • Sintepon
  • Bobbin thread to match the color of the yarn (optional)
  • Eyes or beads or buttons (also optional... you can just embroider)

How to crochet a monkey using fluffy yarn

First we knit all the parts from a smooth thread. Let's start with the most difficult... Not so much difficult as dreary)))...

Knitted monkey - fingers and palms

For fingers - crochet with blues yarn in a slip stitch 8 sc. Next, in a spiral, we knit 10 rows with single crochets. You need to knit 16 such parts (the monkey has 4 limbs - 4 fingers for each).
Next... we stuff each finger, but without fanaticism, so that you can easily connect the edges. Flatten it)))
We connect the edge of the first finger with a sc (we knit 4 stitches all the way through - see photo), without stopping we attach the second “flattened” finger to it, also with 4 sc all the way through, and then the third.
Let's start knitting palms

We connected three fingers with one “braid” of 12 sc (4+4+4 when we sewed the fingers together). Now we will knit with single crochets in a circle using the loops of this chain, and we will make the stitches in one part of the chain, as if we were knitting a sole for a bootie. There is no need to make any additions. There will be 24 columns in total.

We knit 5 rows. At the beginning of the 6th row we place the fourth finger and knit it with a sc, piercing three surfaces with a hook at once (two from the finger and one from the palm). We knit 5 more rows in the round. We stuff the part (without fanaticism) and flatten it, connecting the edges of the RLS and knitting them through (see photo) You get a palm with fingers. If you did everything correctly, then when shaking your fingers will dangle)))
Knit the second palm in exactly the same way, but in the third and fourth there is a slight difference - the fourth finger is not knitted at the beginning of the 6th row, but a little further away. That is, first knit 8 sc, and then knit the fourth finger - you will get palms in a mirror image.

Ears for a knitted monkey

A knitted monkey cannot be without ears)))
I tried to draw a diagram, but it didn’t work out, so I’m writing it down:
4 VP + 1 VP lifting. then we knit in a circle in a spiral using single crochets

1st row - 4 sc (in each loop of the chain along the column), + 1 sc in the last loop (turn), 4 sc

2nd row - 2 sbn (increase) in the lifting loop of the bottom row, 4 sbn, 2 sbn (increase), 4 sbn

3rd row - increase. increase, 4 sc, increase, increase, 4 sc

4th row - 4 increases in a row (2 sc in each loop), 4 sc, 4 increases in a row, 4 sc. should make 24 loops

5-8 rows without increases (24 loops)

Row 9 - 2 together (decrease), decrease, 8 sc, decrease, decrease, 8 loops = 20 loops

10 row - 20 sc

Knit two parts, fold the edges (no need to stuff), connect the edges with single crochets (like palms. In the middle, when joining, make two decreases (optional) 5th and 6th. 7th and 8th knitted together.

Monkey face

We first knit the muzzle by analogy with the ears
8 VP + 1 VP lifting. then we knit in a circle in a spiral using single crochets

1st row - 8 sc (in each loop of the chain along the column), + 1 sc in the last loop (turn), 8 sc

2nd row - 2 sbn (increase) in the lifting loop of the bottom row, 8 sbn, 2 sbn (increase), 8 sbn

3rd row - increase. increase, 8 sc, increase, increase, 8 sc

4th row - 4 increases in a row (2 sc in each loop), 8 sc, 4 increases in a row, 8 sc.

Row 5 - *1 sbn. increase* -2 times. *increase, 1 sc* -2 times. 8 sbn, * 1 sbn. increase* -2 times. *increase, *-2 times. 8 sc, = 40 loops. On these forty loops we knit 4 rows without increases or decreases...

11 - at the end of the row, knit two loops together

12 - at the end of the row, knit two loops together

Row 13-14 we tie the entire piece in a circle. Moreover, in the 13th row, at the junction of the muzzle and nose, there is an increase on both sides of the part.

We knit the furry part of the toy...

Main pattern:
garter stitch (knit rows - knit stitches, purl rows - knit stitches)

Front paws (two identical parts)
Cast on 30 stitches using grass thread. Knit with facial loops, decreasing in every 4th row 5 times, 1 loop at the beginning and end of the row. Next, knit 25 rows on 20 loops with a straight fabric. Then close all the loops
Hind legs (two identical parts)
Cast on 30 stitches using grass thread. Knit with facial loops, decreasing in every 4th row 5 times, 1 loop at the beginning and end of the row. Next, knit 6 rows on 20 loops with a straight fabric. Then close all the loops.

Torso
Cast on 20 stitches using grass thread.
1-2 r. - person.p.
3-13 r. - in each odd row we add 4 loops evenly (4-14 without increases) = 44 sts.
15-24 r. - no extras
25 - 31 r. - in each odd row we add 3 loops evenly (26-32 without increases) = 56 sts.
33-40 rub. - straight fabric without additions
41-48 r. - in each row we evenly decrease 7 loops
We fold the part, sew it together and stuff it with padding polyester (without fanaticism)

Back of the head (occiput)

Cast on 10 stitches using grass thread.
1 rub. - person.p. =10
2 r. - kr., increase, * persons, increase *, persons. =19
3rd row and further all odd rows - no increases
Row 4 - cr., *increase, k2*, knit = 28
Row 6 - cr., *increase, k3*, knit = 37
Row 8 - cr., *increase, k4*, k = 46
Row 9 - exactly...
attach it to the knitted smooth muzzle and see if the part is long enough around the circumference of the face (it should be enough))) the grass is much thicker... if not, then add more loops in the 11th row

Assembling arms and legs

Handles and legs are assembled in the same way. We look at the photos and collect... (just don’t forget about the left and right)))
Because If hairy parts have identical left and right sides, then it will be easier for us...

We place our palms on the hair part and pierce both parts with a hook and immediately connect them with single crochets.

Then we turn away the palm with the half of the hairy part that is not covered and, piercing three surfaces with a hook, we immediately connect everything together with a sc, returning to the beginning of the connection. Then, in the same way as RLS, we connect the side parts of the arm or leg and turn the part inside out.

You can also do this with a needle and thread (whichever is more convenient for you).

We will not stuff our arms or legs... After all, we want to make a chatterbox toy)))

Therefore, we also sew the edge of the arm, but on the right side of the part, and sew the limbs to the body at this very edge.

We sew “tightly” on both sides of the seam, i.e. walk the needle around the entire perimeter of the arm (or leg) so that the parts hold tightly.

Shake the workpiece - the arms and legs should dangle)) remember, our knitted monkey is a chatterbox toy?)))

Head

We sew the occipital part of the furry part of the head (the loops that were picked up and the bevels with increases) and to the opposite side along the circumference we sew a crocheted muzzle. There will be an unstitched hole left (two edges of the fabric opposite each other, where there were no increases), so we do the stuffing through it.
This detail can be stuffed “from the heart”))), but again without fanaticism))) and sewn to the body
All that remains is to sew on the ears in the same way as the arms and legs and “draw” the face. I think you can handle this yourself! turns out to be the cutest creature -

knitted monkey from different types of yarn

P.S. In my opinion, such a monkey can be given to anyone))) Be it for a holiday, or just because))) I have already privatized it)))

I give you this description :) Tying a monkey is not at all difficult! Let such a knitted monkey become a good toy friend for your children)))

Very cute crocheted monkey.

Now it has become a tradition to give souvenirs for each new year - symbols of the coming year.

And for New Year 2016, we all knitted monkeys with great pleasure. But such a knitted toy can be given as a gift in any year and for any occasion.

And you and I can say we are lucky. Well, I mean someone who loves to knit toys.

Victoria Samborskaya prepared a master class on knitting a little monkey. She's so cute. Well, why not a gift for the New Year or a birthday?

I think kids will really like this gift. After all, they themselves are like little monkeys. And adults won’t mind getting such a clever one. knitted monkey.

Do you agree?

Then we take note that there is one that will only be “FOR” if you link it.

So what do we need to knit this cute toy?

  • yarn of two colors (for example, brown and light yellow)
  • some pink yarn for a bow
  • hook (the craftswoman crocheted No. 2)
  • stitching needle
  • scissors
  • filler (fallofiber)
  • beads for eyes
  • wire for legs, arms, tail (but you can do without it)

And we can also knit Teddy Bear. Master class
